Mr. Dechart (Austin’s POV)

As we were all going to my fathers office, he went to go and get dressed. I stood by the mini bar, getting me a glass of scotch when my brother, Andre walks up to me. 

"How are you feeling?" I don't look at him. I throw back the glass of scotch and when I go to pour more, Andre grabs the bottle and I finally look at him. 

"What?" He sees I'm getting angry but still takes the bottle and drinks from it. 

"You know your can't hide how you feel forever." I just shake my head. Not even wanting to listen to the bullshit that comes out of his mouth. 

"I don't know what your talking about." Is all I say and then dad comes walking in dressed in a suit. 

"Alright boys. Let's get down to business." He closes the door and goes to sit down at his chair behind his desk. Making myself another glass, I just stand by the bar as he stares down us all. 

"Everyone in this room knows what's at stake. Austin, since your little girlfriends dad is dead, she has the right to take over. But since you have her, it seems like her uncles have taken over." 

"What does this have to do with anything?" I ask and go to sit in the chair facing him. 

"I've been hiding something from you all. I haven't told you guys the truth. The reason I want Romani's is because when I was younger, about around Austin's age, Danny Romani were friends. We got drunk together and we did a lot of crazy s**t together. 

Even though what was going on between our families, that never stopped us from being friends. One night, Danny showed me this tunnel I'm Romani's and it was weird as hell. But as we got deeper, he told me why we were there. He said that his great grandfather left diamonds down there as a safety deposit. 

If anything were to happen to him, the family would be alright. Now that Danny's dead and he didn't have the rest of the money, were gonna go down into that tunnel and get those diamonds." 

As I sat there, I tried wrapping my head around the s**t that just spilled out of his mouth. 

"So what your saying is that there's a tunnel in Romani's that leads to a secret place that stores diamonds?" Dominic asks and I mentally face palm myself. This kid has never been the brightest one of our the group. 

"Yes son. And we have to get those diamonds before anyone else knows what's down there." I just nod my head and get up. 

"I'll see what Alyssa knows." Is all he say before walking towards the door but I get stopped in my tracks. 

"What if she doesn't know anything?" Adrian asks. Turning around to face him, I answer his question. 

"Then I'll be the s**t out of her until she gives me a proper answer." And with that, I leave. Getting into my car, I hurry to make it back to my house. Feeling as though I've been here for a long time. 

I roll the window down while the radio plays some dumb music. I try to find a better station but nothing's on so I just turn the radio off and enjoy the silence. 

When I get home, I drive through the gates and park my car in the garage. Getting out, I head straight to my room and the what I see baffles me. 

Alyssa laying on my bed sleep. Slightly snoring and I take a moment to look at her, really look at her. She looks peaceful but looks can be deceiving. 

I don't know what comes over me, but I go over to her and grab her by her hair. Yanking her out of my bed and I throw her on the floor. 

Alyssa is confused as she looks around. Her eyes go wide and her heart beats rapidly. Once her eyes settles on me, she starts to scoot back but I grab her by her leg and pull her to me as I sit on the bed looking at her. 

"What do you know about the tunnel in Romani's?"
