The Hero Within

Chapter One  There was this really bright ass light shining right in my face as I was coming to I wasn’t sure where the hell I even was at this point. I opened my eyes looking around seeing nothing but white. Great, I was in some type of hospital. I tried to move a little to get a better look around and found that I was indeed strapped to the table. I grunted this was just my f*****g luck! From next to me I heard a man clear his throat “Oh I see that you are finally awake.” I tried my darndest to look at the person who was talking but with no success. “Where am I?” I just went for the most logical question as I knew nothing else would be answered. Hell, I was fishing for information I knew he would not give me. “You don’t remember do you?” Answering a question with a question is a classic that really got on my nerves. “I wouldn’t be asking if I knew the answer you i***t!” Okay to say I was getting a little pissed off was an understatement. The man finally came into my view and to say he was giving off mad scientist vibes was an understatement. I was slowly putting the pieces together as to why my ass was trapped in a creepy ass hospital room with this mad scientist. The only thing I could not figure out was how someone with my power ended up here in the first place. I tried to tap into my powers knowing that it was there just under the surface. It was weak but I could touch it and I knew that it would be my only hope as he came towards me with a syringe that had silver liquid in it. He injected me and the only thing that I could do was utter “Fuck.” Then everything went black again.
