I was still irritated that Layla had put a stop to me dealing with Kian, but truthfully, it was probably better that she had.
At least it had avoided a potential international incident that I would have had to explain to the Elders back in France and for that, I was grateful.
Initially, as soon as I found the keycard and that f*****g pack crest emblazoned on it, my wolf saw red and instantly Kian was to blame for everything, The one time that I had lost my grip on him was because he was convinced that Layla was in mortal danger and that the man who I had refused to end was responsible.
Now, he was more amenable to the fact that Kian wasn't behind this. He was an i***t and a coward, but his wolf would never allow any harm to come to Layla..not physical harm. So h
