"I expect you to be in school tomorrow and home for dinner tomorrow, young lady! No arguments." my mom says in a whisper shout, not wanting to be too loud in the bookstore.
"Yes, mom. I promise," I reply, propping my feet up on Tyler's lap and getting comfy on his bench. He starts to gently rub and massage them I have to try my hardest to concentrate on my phone call with my mom.
"An impromptu camp with Lee and Brie is one thing, but then you don't even call or let me know where you are!?"
I groan. "Mom, I already told you. There was no reception. We were camping up in some remote mountains... way up high," I lie.
"You three are going to be the death of me," she grumbles. "Anyway, I've got to go now
