LEE'S P. O. V. It is so strange seeing Dani standing outside my door again after so many days apart. I was scared to death that I'd never see my best friend again. I burst into tears and hug her tightly to me. My arms are around her waist and my head presses against her chest. Dani is a good four inches taller than me, so I'm basically the short one in our friend group. She laughs and hugs me back. "Let's go see Brie so I can fill you both in on this," she pulls her hair back away from her shoulders and I notice the ring first, and then her fresh mark.
