Chapter Three

Victoria pov

I feel like I am still dreaming and that I am still at the mansion where I belong, Marcus. I still remember how he use to admire me and get me gifts on special days. I remember how we would have a little date at home and make love till the morning.

Where has his love for me gone, or was it all fake and never meant anything to him?

This was exactly the case with mom and dad. Both were once fated mates but dad had an affair and Selena was born. I and dad were close but my stepmother never liked me and so she tried her best to instigate dad against me. She would blame me for everything and dad would believe her. Although I was born into luxury and had the best education, I never had that father and daughter bond. As I grew, dad would pop on my birthdays to celebrate with me but once I decided not to give up my fated mate for my sister, dad disowned me.

As I watch my mother cook, I wonder how she coped with the pain of been betrayed by her own mate too. No, I don’t have to think much so it won’t affect my babies, the are my family now. After eating, I get dress, wearing a loose cloth so that I’ll be comfortable.

I take a taxi to his office, although he had offered to send his driver. I turned him down.

Finally at his door, I can hear some giggles coming from inside the office and that laugh belongs to none other than my stepsister, Selena.

“Don’t you think we should go on a date to celebrate?” She says.

“Of course, that is a nice idea but I have to get done with the rejection.”

“I want to witness it , please babe.”

How could she? She is really happy to see me break down when Marcus finally rejects me.

“No Selena, this matter is between me and Victoria, I’ll like you to wait outside when she comes.” He said.

So he still have emotions in his heart towards me? I don’t want to hear any more of their conversations so I knocked before stepping in just to see Selena on Marcus legs and her arm on his neck.

My chest hurt from the sight of them , I calm myself and remind myself that he is no longer mine again.

“You are right on time, Selena please excuse us.” He says and Selena walks over with hate in her eyes. She walks passes me and bumps into my shoulder so hard.

“Will you like a drink?” He ask once Selena is finally out.

Is he really asking me for a drink when any moment from now he will be ending what bounded us together?

“No.” I simply answer and so he pours the whiskey into his glass and have a sip before facing me.

“Alright let’s get over with this. I, Marcus Mark of Silver moon pack rejects you Victoria Leo as my mate and Luna.” He said and immediately I feel a sharp pain in my heart and my vision begins to blur.

I can’t break down in from of him, not when he has decided to be heartless. I straightened up my back and look at him as tear cloud my eyes.

I, Victoria Leo , Former Luna of Silvermoon accept your rejection.” I say before my legs betray me as I fall to the ground and the next thing I see is darkness.

Peep peep peep.

I force myself to open my eyes and when I do, I am in the hospital and mom is by my side.

“Hey mom.”

“Oh my baby, you are awake.”

“How are did I get here?” I ask.

“He brought you here and called me to come over. That bastard had the mind to call me after the harm he has done.”

“It’s okay mom, I will be fine.” I say to her. I didn’t want her to continue talking about the matter.

“I’ll go get something for you to eat.” She says and I nod. I don’t have the appetite to eat but I need to be along for a few moment.

“Mom are you…”

“You b***h!! Did you have to pull up an act like that so he could carry you in his arms?” Selena says as she steps into my ward.

“What are you doing here?”

“I came here to tell you to stay away from my man. He was mine before you stole him. What did you think? That I would allow him be with you? Where did you think he was when he comes home late? Work?”

“So stupid of you sister.”

“Look, who is here, it’s the daughter of a snake.” Mom says from behind.

“Have you and your mother not cause enough harm already? Now you come here to threaten my daughter. You better leave before I break your bones. I am sure your mother told you what I once did to her.” Mom says and Selena is already shaking as she tries to leave.

“You know Selena, you are a better Actress than I can ever imagine. You win this time and I hope you are extremely happy.” I say before she walks away.

“Ohh darling don’t mind her.” Mom say once she dropped the tray of food she got me.

“I will make plans for us to leave this place. Me , you and the children will do very fine on our own okay?”

“Thank you mom.” I say as she hugs me.

I don’t like the idea of leaving but for my children safety, I’ll do anything. It’s time to think of my unborn children and not a man who has done nothing but break my heart.

I am back home resting in the sitting room when mom informs me that she has seen a pack.

“We are going to Thornwall pack, Alpha Grabriel has accepted to let us stay.”

“What!!”
