Noah sat in the backseat of his car, staring at the city lights as they blurred past. His mind was racing. Everything Anna had told him, the emotions in her voice, the weight of betrayal—it all clashed with the carefully curated version of his past that Juliet and Isabella had fed him.
He couldn’t ignore it anymore. He needed the truth.
“Take me to Isabella’s place,” he instructed the driver.
When he arrived, Isabella opened the door, her expression shifting from surprise to concern. “Noah? What are you doing here?”
“I need to talk,” he said, stepping inside without waiting for an invitation.
Isabella closed the door behind him, forcing a sweet smile. “Of course. What’s wrong?”
He turned to her, his jaw tightening. “Anna.”
Her smile faltered. “What about her?”
Noah studied her face. He could see the slight tension in her shoulders, the way her fingers twitched at the mention of Anna’s name. “I want to know the truth about my marriage.”
“I already told you—”
“I don’t want to hear what you and Juliet have been feeding me,” he snapped. “I want to know what really happened.”
Isabella’s expression hardened. “Noah, I—”
“Did I cheat on her?” His voice was sharp, demanding.
Isabella hesitated. “Noah, you were confused. Things weren’t working between you two. You came to me for comfort—”
“That’s not what I asked.” His chest tightened. “Did I betray her?”
Isabella swallowed. “Yes.”
The weight of her confession hit him like a punch to the gut. He had hoped, deep down, that Anna was wrong. That she had misunderstood. But now, hearing it from Isabella’s own lips, he felt sick.
Noah stepped back, shaking his head. “I need to go.”
“Noah, wait—” Isabella reached for him, but he pulled away.
“I don’t need your version of the truth anymore,” he said coldly. “I’ll find it myself.”

Meanwhile, Anna sat on her couch, clutching a cup of tea in her hands. The conversation with Noah had left her shaken. She had spent years burying the pain, convincing herself she had moved on. But the moment she heard his voice, the old wounds reopened.
“Are you okay?” Daniel’s voice pulled her from her thoughts.
She looked up at him and forced a smile. “I’m fine.”
Daniel sat beside her, studying her face. “You don’t have to lie to me, Anna.”
She let out a breath, setting her cup down. “I don’t know what to do, Daniel. He doesn’t remember, but he’s starting to ask questions.”
Daniel tensed. “And you’re afraid of what will happen when he gets the answers?”
Anna nodded slowly. “Yes.”
He reached for her hand. “No matter what happens, I’m here. You don’t have to go through this alone.”
She squeezed his hand in gratitude, but deep down, she knew this battle was hers alone.
Because Noah was coming for the truth and when he found it, everything would change.
