PROLOGUE

I woke up with pains all over my body,the early morning sun Shone on my face reminding me it was the day I was going to start my new school,I never liked the idea of changing a new school because I miss my friends so much,but according to mum

"don't worry sweetie,

you'll make new friends".

I stood up took my bath,dressed up and ate my breakfast,and waited for dad down stairs, outside were he parked his car

'Dad I'm ready,

Can you hurry up"

Mum shouted my name,

"Susie have you

taken your snacks already"

then I responded as if I don't have a single life left in me because I've been trying to wake up from my slumber, cause it never felt as if I was alive,why will I change to a new school,mum and dad do not even care about my feelings and well being. Dad came to the car with my little annoying sister"Darcy".

Soon we arrived at

"MAGIXX ACADEMY"

When we entered inside the school gate I felt as if I was relieved,I became surprised because I've never felt that way since mum and dad told me I was going to change my school.

CHAPTER 1

I still miss things about my old school, like the funny little things I and Carolina use to do. I'll walk under the rain just to spend time with her. Atleast I met new friends Annie and Lola, since I knew them I've been so desperate for them to like me for who I am.

The young morning looks promising with the rising of the sun above our heads,you can hear faint sounds of birds chirping a little,gust of wind passing by,you can see all sorts of flowers, ornamental and wild every now and then,you can also hear sounds of bees busy moving from the antar and stigma of flowers.It was summer so the grasses were green as it was meant to be,not far from where we stood you can see the gate of the Academy standing eloquently tall and broad, sight that could attract tourist but in the Academy it's so sad that we cannot get such visitors.

A lot of people actually hear stories about "Magixx Academy"but majority just take it as a mare story and fantasy speculating around our Academy, because from outside it looks like a normal school for children and teenagers,some people are forced into the school, some come willingly but what I can say for sure is that nobody here is by accident.

Looking elegant and graceful Mr Bexford stood with a proud smile on the pavement facing the students for his daily speech and motivation, having been my first week in the Academy I found the speech and the presences around strange and irritating as a matter of fact I prayed in my heart that all this should be over in a second,but my new friends Annie and Lola surreptitiously looked at me and new I was finding it hard to take in all the stress.

When Mr Bexford was saying all those things,my friends Annie and Lola understood what he was saying

"was I the only dumb one here"

He talked about powers that got me confused

"do I really have powers which I did not know about,what are the things mum and dad are hiding from me"

alot of question was running through my mind,i did not know how to answer them all. I decided to ask Annie and Lola if they really understood what Mr Bexford was talking about

"When I was little my mum told me to get my pizza and cheese from the kitchen,mum was making breakfast.when I went close to the fire it looked as if the flames were growing big,I thought I was dreaming but no,I was right the flames became so big that it burnt almost half of our house,when I looked at my hands i was surprised that I held flames on my hands too,I stood as if I was a statue,mum could not even do anything about it she stood without hope and watched our house burn.when dad came back from work that evening,mum was sobbing she told Dad what had happened,she also said

"I don't know what Lola is turning into",dad understood everything he just said

"relax ok, everything will be fine. Even though I was little I understood that it was something special".

Lola explained to us how she knew she had powers,then Annie said

"My big bro Jeff was very annoying when we were still in junior high school,he use to make me cry each time mum and dad were not around, even if they were,they'll always say

"don't worry he's your brother don't take it too personal",but I always get angry,go to my room and lock the door mum will try to make me happy so that I'll come out but still I'll pretend as if I'm asleep just to make her leave.one day I decided once again to have breakfast with my family mum was in the kitchen washing some dishes,I was with my dad and Jeff in the dining eating breakfast,my brother took my burger,ate it and he did not even care,I got angry then I screamed,the tap and the tea that was placed on the table got frozzed, mum was surprised and confused at the same time,my eyes turned blue and I never knew how it happened,that was how I knew I got something cool "powers"

"Wow so you have ice powers,I was so happy for my friends

wait, wait, wait let me get things clear Lola can use fire while Annie can use ice powers

Wow" I exclaimed with happiness.Sometimes I feel as if there is something I'm supposed to do but I don't really know,it's just now I'm trying to figure things out,if my parents really know I have powers why have there not told me about it,why can't I even do something extraordinary like you guys or was that the reason there brought me to Magixx Academy.i really need to figure things out for myself

Soon dad and I were suddenly in the middle of this huge experience,the gridlocked Lorries belching toxic fumes,the traffic queue started moving. I started feeling a little bit silly,I wasn't actually convinced that I really had powers. Dad noticed the looks on my face but ignored me and continued driving.

I was feeling nervous,I couldn't even eat my launch my little sister "Darcy" started asking me silly question

"Hey Susie you look pale,what happened did you cry at school..hey I also heard rumors that students in Magixx Academy have cool powers like..."

Will you just Curt the crap Darcy,I'm tryna think,all the time you just get into my nerves. I tried to talk to mum about the power stuff but she got distracted, actually her friend Lucy called her to talk about their work stuff "omigosh!" I just get pissed off when I listen to their boring conversation,this means I won't even get a chance of asking her anything or should I just ask Dad,will dad even give me attention dad is really into his movie so I think for now I'll just hold on and c***k the code. I went to my room to apply my face cream,that's the last thing I do at night before I go to bed.
