Declan. I arrived at the house right before they had dinner. Rowan had been the one to welcome me, he had given me a side hug, and said nothing else. I made my way down to the dining area and pulled out a chair but wasn’t sitting down on it yet. “Where is mom?” I asked Rowan. “She’s in the kitchen.” Rowan replied and stared down at his phone. I didn’t know if I should go to her just yet or wait for her to come out of the kitchen. She came out while I was still contemplating. “Mom.” “Glad you made it.” She said with a smile, and took the apron off her body. “I made your favorite.” I nodded when I saw it on the plate. “Is there a special event?” I asked and narrowed my gaze at them. “…and where is Dad? Isn’t he still disappointed in me.” She rubbed her hand over my arm.
