Dreamweavers : THE DARK MOON which finally unveils an ancient dynasty of immortals, existing since the beginning of time who are completely undocumented in the archives of mankind’s history by the deceptively devious and voraciously affluent Angels.

This is a chronicle about Deline Amaranthine, a 39-year old seasoned Leadership Trainer and staunch animal rescuer who discovers she belongs to an ancient family of immortals whom humans did not even know existed for almost a million years called Dreamweavers.

Dreamweavers are immortal beings who guide humans into achieving soul purification by communicating significant messages through the umbrage of dreams. Dreams have always been misinterpreted by humans as distorted and cryptic symbols. Their minds cannot grasp that these vital words of wisdom come from immortal beings who are non-existent in their history but still continue to diligently send them valuable messages to help them.

Humans listen however to the whispers of Angels.

Deline embarks on a journey of immortal self-discovery along with her dog Moon, a rescued stray who also turns into a Dreamweaver dog and gains her supernatural power through her long glistening serpentine tongue that can squeeze the life out of anyone.

The ubiquitous adaptability and resilience Deline solidly relies on as an orphan since 5 years old will be stretched to infinite limits as she deals with strings of legendary characters from a Philippine predator aswang who feasts on fresh human liver to being hopelessly attracted to a stunningly gorgeous Filipino-Portuguese Angel, a Dreamweaver’s arch enemy called Miro Alto who is the sole heir to one of the richest empires in the world. Not to mention the sudden mysterious interest and unbridled hostility in her capabilities from Erudites (The Wisest and Purest Dreamweavers) as well as Sophics (The Wisest and Purest Angels) as she just might be The Herald who will usher in a new generation of immortals and change the course of the world.

Deline’s tendency to succumb to her rapid decision-making prowess and red-hot temperament will be put to the test as she is independently guided by her Aunt Laya, a Dreamweaver who is 3,138 years old but appears as a 25-year old stoic and conservative seductress. Laya is dealing with internal issues of her own as she is passionately torn between an Angel with stormy gray eyes by the name of Greyson Glissando and Cisco Cerulean, her fellow Dreamweaver with piercing powder blue flecks for eyes.

This is the first of 5 books and is a dizzying whirlwind of astounding revelations, romantic overtures, emergence of sub-immortal beings from Filipino folklore and epic confrontations and battles as the uncharted world of undiscovered immortals unravels every stitch of their rich culture to claim their rightful place in mankind’s history.

Set in the whimsical city of Iloilo, Philippines peppered with Deline’s challenge to solve the riddle of a haunted mansion with its prisoners’ mouth and eyes stitched in their own strands of hair cursed into silence for all eternity by a malevolent presence called Sastre.

Meanwhile, a mysterious occurrence of misshapen forms of immortal babies are being cast into the deepest bottom of an undiscovered sea kingdom called Halcyon. The 5-giant pearl structure is ruled by marine inhabitants which humans refer to as mermaids but are actually known as Mertells.

These endearing ribbons of narrative circle back into Deline’s childhood friends; 39-year old Rhyll Sagrado, a passionate environmentalist of Indian descent who has to frantically pluck out petals of flowers growing out of her upper eyelids and 39-year old Nimuel Rodriguez, a charming Spanish-Filipino pilot who secretly adores Rhyll but is busy dealing with his own baffling secret of clapping people and things in suspended animation.

PROLOGUE: LAYA
Manggahan Festival, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras Islands The wizened Dark Moon stealthily uncurled herself with a gnarled sigh of relief from the suffocating bondage of the wicked Sun. She dexterously painted the night in complete darkness. It was a void that cuddled in silent witness to the stillness and madness of the night. Some madness which forever remained to be beyond the academic grasp of a mortal’s domain. Two brothers strolled hesitantly albeit courageously through the thick blanket of forest. The older of the two, tucked away in secret the scampering beats of his frightened heart. He did his utmost best to ignore the warning rustles of skeletal branches. There is nothing out there… just your wild imagination again playing tricks in your mind! Jose, the older of the two repeated the mantra like a broken record. He tried to convince his mind to keep itself afloat amidst the sea of fearful anxiety from the macabre treasures hidden by the dark of night. In order to distract his cowardly mind away from the tidal wave of trepidation that was about to engulf his whole physical being, he pretended to leisurely swing away with his trusted stick. It whipped against the cloaks of spindly shrubs swaying connivingly with the gleeful gust of the wind. The wicked shrubs hindered their path towards the safety and comfort of home. The younger one gripped tightly with all the minute strength of his tiny palms the small plastic bag containing their hard-earned prize money of 5,000 pesos from winning the mango-eating contest. His tiny tummy now fully distended consumed a record-breaking 15 kilos of mangoes in less than five minutes. Luis the 8-year old boy whose tattered slippers could barely protect him from the twigs of needles on the ground whispered. “Kuya, I-I am s-s-scared….” He steadfastly clung to the side of his protector. “Shhh…” Jose warned him in an undertone, his mouth barely a slit that feebly attempted to cut through the tension of fear in the air. The forest was eerily hushed without a single melody of mirth from the birds except for the harsh cackles of sinister branches slicing through the suffocating blanket of unease. Snap! A twig cracked a few inches on their right. The boys froze in their tracks. Their feet imprisoned by the shackles of terror. Their hearts were about to explode out of their chests in dreadful anticipation of the source of the ominous sound. It maliciously broke their artificial bubble of security. Snap! Snap! SNAAAAAP!
