Receiving a letter from my mother claiming that we need to talk tonight isn't how I thought my day would start.
But it is.
I'm confused by it because it's not my mother's style at all. Why would she come all the way here? The journey is long and can be extremely boring. Will she come alone? What could the nature of the conversation be that would make her come here personally and not discuss it through letters?
This unsettles me to the point that I don’t focus on a single thing; not class, not the lessons, not even on meals. The new instructor who teaches us along with Golen, Instructor Ferris, ignores me completely, so I don’t have to worry about being asked questions like everyone else.
