Lilieth Leaving the cabin behind is a different kind of pain; physical. Like pressing a fresh bruise a little too hard. I didn’t want to head back, and in the morning, I had a hard time getting up. I know that the only way to deal with this is to move forward. Hiding from the world and everyone in it isn’t going to get us anywhere. But I wanted this little world of ours to last a little longer. Just a little bit. It isn’t raining anymore, but the air hangs heavy with moisture. I can feel it trickling down my back under my uniform.
