Crossing the courtyard and rushing to the administration building all alone with my heart slamming against my ribcage is just about the scariest thing I've ever done in all my life.
I make it inside, hoping and praying to our goddess that I won't be caught now when I've made it this far. I expected to get caught climbing the fence but that didn't happen.
The corridor to my room feels too long and every step I take is just too loud. It gets to a point where I start to run, my anxiety at an all-time high. Reaching the door, I practically ram into it before closing it behind me.
Then, I proceed to lean against it and focus on breathing.
