The Villainess Needs A Hero
Chapter 13: It's Good To Be Bad
Scarlett Mila
"Are you really sure that you've erased traces of my light magic around that area especially the bodies of those pests?" - I asked for the nth time to my tow familiars. They turned around and they synchronously frowned at me like I just said something wrong.
"Are you really going to ask that to us until we reach our new home, master?" - Alarick said
"Yeah, that's the 20th time you asked us that same question and you already know the answer, master" - Aesir added.
I can't help but to roll my eyes heavenwards because of their remarks. Is there anything wrong with being cautious? Like I just don't want bastards tracking me down this early, I am still nineteen years old and if I got caught, my annoying family would also know pronto that I am alive and more or less I will be held captive in that stinky mansion and if I am held captive of course, I will do my very best to escape and one of the things that I will do is to use my both of my powers that will of course create a major ruckus around the empire -- no around the world of this f-cked up game I developed.
"There is nothing wrong with being sure." - I said as I shrug my shoulders and they both looked at me like if I am joking. "What?" - I exclaimed and I heard Aesir heave a deep sigh.
"We are guardians in case you forgot master and if want to erase an existence of someone or something we will do it without failure." - Alarick said on my mind using telepathy. I just mentally rolled my eyes because of his answer. I did not forget that they are guardians I am just quite worried that even if they are guardians they will fail such thing by accidentally leaving a trace. That could instantly make our plan into a complete failure.
I just really hope that those employees of mine in my past life made this two guardians right, like programmed them to be always successful and never a failure. Not like the other characters they made that is extremely talented but stupid or its the other way around.
And I can't believe that our customers or the people downloaded it, bought the full version and enjoyed it. Honestly, if I were to play such game without those kind of characters, I would instantly give a one star review.
I just really hope that the only 'negative' thing about Alarick is the fact that he is so lazy yet he also needs something to do, Aesir on the other hand is the fact that she gets worried easily. I can still remember how she panicked six years ago with the wounds I got out of nowhere, not to mention how she cried the first moment I opened my eyes.
"Master, we're here" - I heard Aesir said which made me came back to reality and I immediately look shift my gaze to the house in front of us. I looked at it from top to bottom, the color, and examined the materials as well.
In my last life, I have a friend that is an architect and the other is an engineer so they both told me how things work with materials used to build houses. And based from my observation this house is indeed sturdy enough to withstand even a few fireballs.
"Who was the owner again of this house?" - I asked because of the fact that it is impossible if an ordinary person could own such magnificent house without knowing its importance and especially the basement that is obviously magic proof.
Just a hunch but I think the pervious owner knew what is this house actually, tried to do something fishy on the basement such as test and cultivate dark magic, experiment some shits. Whatever it is, it is obvious that the basement was built for the people who lived here to do what the Emperor prohibits without the fear of being detected, imprisoned and executed.
"The recent previous owner has a surname Yuno, but he informed us that before him a family lives here but after 10 years the couple died and their son was nowhere to be found. Yuno informed us that the couple was suspected of practicing dark magic around the house but although it wasn't proven the empire decided to track them down and kill the family. " - Aesir said through telepathy which automatically made me grit my teeth. I can never blame the empire for being cautious because dark magic is really powerful and dangerous, it can be used to control monsters and people but still it depends on how long did the user cultivated that power.
However, I still don't think that the emperor should have man hunted the whole family when in fact there is no clear and sufficient evidence that proves that they are indeed cultivating or researching dark magic in here. Not to mention they even did not identify that the basement is a magic proof room, if they actually did then this house shouldn't have been sold to a new owner and the emperor itself owned the property of the house.
But one way or another I believe that what happened during that time is a very controversial issue since Aesir decided to tell that information to me through telepathy. There could be a news already that someone bought the house and the people in the higher position would want to know who the buyer is and sent a few spies around.
Actually it is not a probability, those annoying bastards did sent a few spies. There are four of them and they are positioned near the house. Tsk luckily I made sure that I casted a sound barrier around us three when we entered this place so we are the only ones who heard our very own conversation a while ago regarding my troubles whether or not they really did their job well in erasing the traces of my light magic.
To other people's eyes and hearing we may seem like we are just walking, but I decided to remove the barrier the moment Aesir said that we've finally arrived at the place.
"Doesn't matter, let's just go inside. I am dead tired" - I said loudly, well not too loud though, it is loud enough for those spies to hear.
"Are we not gonna kill them?" - Alarick asked through mind link which made me let out a chuckle.
"Nope, not yet. Let them go back to their masters and have them report to them what they saw. Let's just make them enjoy their lives a bit more. But don't forget to put marks on them, alright?" -I answered and just then Alarick closed his eyes and after a few seconds he immediately opened it again. It looks like he just blinked but he actually already gave the four spies around their mark so that I am able to track them down easily.
Tsk killing spies are an easy task because ever since I was young I already trained myself to kill assassins that comes to my room every single damn night. And I don't know if this is actually a good thing but I kinda miss killing bad people.
Killing is bad, but it just feels so good to kill annoying and worthless assholes like spies and assassins. To simply put it, it's just so good to be bad as well.
