standing in front of the alphs’s office i knock lightly letting him know i was waiting
“come in” i here him call out.
“you wanted to see me sir?”
"sure please sit down”
taking a seat in front of the desk i take the chance to have a good look around, the office is mostly furnished in an industrial style. you know the type lots of metal and unfinished wood. cold and uninviting, a lot like the man i sit in front of now.
“jinny i wanted to chat about your future, i know within the next few months you will be graduating as well as gaining your wolf and having your first shift, have you thought about what you will do after graduation?”
“well sir i know i want to attend university as to what i would like to study i have it narrowed to either teaching or culinary school, i guess what i pick depends on my ranking after my first shift.”
he gives me a puzzled look making me wonder what he's thinking.
"do you have any reason to think you will be ranked anything other than omega?”
dusty pipes up “be careful jinny i feel like this could be a trick question!”
i take note and reply carefully.
“no sir its just because i don't know anything about my birth family i should keep my options open, don't you agree?”
“that makes sense. look i have something for you”
alpha gets up and opens a filing cabinet pulling out a large shoe box putting it on the desk in front of me.
“jinny you turn 18 in just under 2 months so i feel like i can give this to you a little early”
i suddenly feel all hot and a little nervous wondering what could be inside, hoping i might find some answers to who i am.
"do you want me to open this here?"
“sure, although there isn't much there”
opening the box the first thing im hit with is the smell, a soft hint of geranium and peppermint i just know that's the scent of my mother . the smell has dusty just about purring well as close as a wolf can actually get.
the box contains a pink baby blanket, a small old looking teddy bear, a golden necklace with 2 tiny pendants a wolf and a musical note. placing them to the side i see there is also a note.
