my alarm sounds early saturday morning reminding me that i have a mandatory training session absolutely my least favourite part of my week.
to say im not naturally gifted or athletic would be an understatement im much more at home with my nose in a book but pack defence and learning how to fight are not negotiable here and i get it i just wish i was better at it.
after freshening up and getting into my training gear i head out to the warrior pavilion grabbing an apple and a coffee on the way.
as im heading out the door i run into the alpha and luna
hi jinny how are you? says alpha whey
“im great just heading to training”
i need to see you in my office after lunch today. your turning 18 soon and id like to have a chat about your future plans”
“no worries is there anything to be worried about?’
“not at all just a few things to go over and i feel like i never really see you around very often”
” ok i will pop by after lunch alpha. have a great day Luna”
i wish i could say i feel good about this meeting and strangely. the alpha and Lunas aura were flickering red which normally means anger, strangely dusty is also a little quiet not helping my feeling of dread.
as I arrived at for training I spotted the jnr warrior Timothy
Tim was so handsome. tall, dark crew cut hair, dark chocolate coloured eyes and a body that held most women's attention and had them wishing for his smile to be directed their way just once.
if there was even one reason to contemplate staying in this pack it would be tim I had spent many a daydream hoping he was my mate but dusty was indifferent and said we wouldn't know until my birthday
as we split into pairs to practice our hand to hand combat skills
Tim was doing the rounds giving pointers and helping correct our fighting positions I felt hands on my hips gently repositioning me to stand straighter. I instantly felt my self blushing
'jinny remember to use your size to your advantage your smaller but faster'
'I will try'
knowing he was watching I worked harder than I had in months and actually felt that I was improving having dropped my sparring partner to the mat more than once this session.
'great work today jinny I'm starting to see improvement. may make a warrior of you yet!' tim says shooting me one of his dazzling smiles.
'hahaha maybe one day' I sign
looking at my watch I know I have enough time to rinse off and grab some lunch before my meeting with the alpha and luna.
