Chapter Two

Veronica’s Pov

Considering I only have three months I have decided that I will use this time to find my mate and if I don't find him then so be it. If I can't find my mate within these three months then I guess it's just not meant to be and I will go to college and live my life as a regular wolf. I thought that if I don't find my mate then I will not dwell on it, I know that everything in life happens and doesn't happen for a reason. If I'm meant to keep my alpha position when I turn 2, then I will be able to find my mate and we can run my pack together as partners, equals, and mates.

I have decided that I will go to every pack and see if my mate resides in them. If I can't find my mate in any of the packs anywhere in North America, then I will have my father give me permission to lead the pack on my own, he has to agree to this or he has two years to get my sister ready for the duties of being an Alpha. Since I can’t just waltz upon other Alphas territories, that would be considered trespassing, I will have to call them and ask them if they would grant me entrance into their territories. I'm on my way to my father's office to tell him my decision and hopefully, he will agree to my terms.

I knock on the door of my father's office and I hear my dad say “Come in”, so I walk in and see him at his desk doing paperwork and when he saw me come in he took his attention away from his paperwork. “Father I have decided to find my mate, but I also have terms of my own that need to said,” I said with a lot of seriousness in my voice that I can sum up. “And what shall these terms be?” he asked me. I responded with “ Like I said I have decided to go and find my mate, but when the time comes for my 21st birthday and I haven't found him in any of the packs in North America you will let me run the pack on my own until my mate shows up. Now you're probably wondering how running the pack alone will benefit the pack, well if I run the pack alone then I will have no distractions that can draw me away from the pack. When and if my mate does show up while I'm Acting Alpha then we will start to run the pack as equals. If you don't agree to my terms then you will have to try and make Monica ready to become Alpha with her mate in two years, while I have been in Alpha training for ten years I know what is needed of an Alpha. I will leave you with this information and my proposition and I will wait for your decision.” With all that said I let quietly and headed up to my room so I can decide on which pack I will visit first.
