Chapter 7
Patsy Perry was a tall, thin woman with eyes the same blue as Reid’s and a sharp nose. She wore her blonde hair perfectly parted in the middle and it framed her face on either side as if it were sculpted to do so. David was ruggedly handsome, and it was easy for Melody to see where Reid got his good looks from, though David’s eyes were a dark brown and he was slightly shorter than his son. He was also much quieter and usually left the talking to his wife. Try as she might, Melody couldn’t figure out which of them Reid got his unusual sense of humor from as she’d never heard either of them say anything remotely humorous. But then she thought maybe she just didn’t know them well enough and that side would come out eventually.
