“Wait!” Kai yells after him, but Nicolo is long gone. “Is my mom also on this Council? What is going on? I feel like there is so much they are hiding from us.” Kai growls in frustration. I get up and go sit on his lap, and he looks at me.
“Are you trying to manage me?” he asked me. “Just like you try to manage me?” I asked with one eyebrow raised and he smiled. “Is it working?” I asked. “Yes, your presence and touch are very calming.” “See, we are getting to know each other.” I say and kiss his cheek. He really is like a big teddy bear and he is all mine. “Ha! I knew you would admit it. You want him,” Callie says in my mind.
“Of course I want him. Why wouldn't I? He is perfect, sweet and so damn hot. I just wanted to take things slowly and get to know each other first.” I answe
