Chapter 10

Sages pov

I put my keys in my locker like I always do right in their usual spo. I went to my first class as usual. Something seems off about today. The first bell for the first class went off to let everyone get to their second class. I saw Joe and waved at him. He waved back and I went to go hug him.

“Today seems to be a really weird day,like something is super off,” Joe said.

“Yeah well that's everyday that we are at school,”I said, sounding a little stupid.

“Yeah you're right about that one,” Joe said.

All of a sudden we heard a crash from afar, we looked around to see what happened. When we tried to get a look everyone started running towards their vehicles. We got up close to where the accident happen.Sam was close to the body.

Whoever it was they were dead , but what I don't get is that the body was limp and their eyes looked crazed.

“We have to get out of here right now,” JOe said with panic in his voice.

“Yeah let's go to your car, you have your keys on you right,” I said with a panic in my voice.

“Yeah, let's go, we have to get out of here,”Joe said.

We went to Joe's car we ran with all pf my might. We got to the car everyone was running towards their vehicles.Joe started his car and got us out of the school parking lot.

“Where do you want to be dropped off at,” Joe said.

“You can drop me off at my place,” I said with confusion,

“Yeah that works with me,” Joe said.

Why was he being so weird,why didn't he want to stick with me instead of going our separate ways. We got to my house, and I got out of Joe's vehicle. I got up to my door,I opened the door to my house.I went to my room. Something felt off about my house.I decided to go downstairs. There were a bunch of noises that I heard downstairs.

When I turned the corner my mom was eating my dads guys out.

I ran back upstairs, I ran to go get my moms keys to her car. I ran as fast as I could to the car, I reversed the car out of my driveway. I went to the other safest place that I knew of and that was Sam's place.

When I got there nobody was there. I had to go to the bathroom super bad. I went to the bathroom, and I decided to use the bathroom upstairs. I did my business and then I Washed my hands. I heard the front door open and that made me panic. I heard Sam yelling for her grandmother, which reminds me her grandmother wasn't in the kitchen like she always does.

I heard footsteps coming upstairs and I knew that I was in for it. But the footsteps went past the bathroom into Sam's grandmother's room. I heard noises that sounded like her grandmother could have turned into one of those things.

I accidentally knocked over the trash can and the next thing the bathroom door opened. There is my best friend who looks like she has seen a ghost.

“Sage is that you,” Sam said.

“Yeah” I said with a little panic in my voice.

“What are you doing here,” Sam said in a shaky voice.

“Well i went home and my mom and dad turned into one of those things,” I said with so much emotion in my voice.

“Oh sage, I am so sorry,” She said in an apologetic voice.

Its oka, how about you grandmother,” I said.

“She turned into one of them as well,” She said with so much emotion in her voice.

“Sam I am so sorry,” I said in an apologetic voice.

“Its okay, we have to bury her right next to my grandfather, it's what she would have wanted,” She said with more emotion in her voice.

“Okay after that we should go fight these things. We need to save people,” I said with confidence in my voice.

“OKay, but we have to bury my grandmother first,” Sam said.

Okay,” I said.

Sam put a blanket over her grandmother and put her in the trunk of my car. Sams a good girl. She got my car out of the school parking lot. God I love that car but we can't attract too much attention, we might need to ditch my car.
