Chapter 8

Sam’s pov

The disaster

I woke up it is 7am, why didn’t my alarm not go off. I am going to be so late for school, I went to the bathroom and looked into the mirror that’s when I decided that I wasn’t going to wear makeup. I went to my dresser and grabbed whatever I could, I rushed down the stairs to the kitchen.

I found my grandma in the kitchen she looks so cozy in the kitchen.

“Well there you are, why are you late to get up sweetie,” grandma said with concern in her voice.

“My alarm didn’t go off and I don’t really want to talk about it. It’s been a long morning already,” I said.

“Well if you say so, well Sage is outside waiting for you. Take these for on the road,” grandma said while handing me a bag.

“Thank you grandma,” I said while rushing out the door.

I walked out the door and there was Sage in her car waiting for me. I already know that Sage is going to give me so much crap for being late. The last time I was late for school was when my grandfather died. I got into Sages car and buckled myself in before she could even speak.

“Well there you are what happened,” Sage said sounding super annoyed.

“My alarm happened, it never went off,” I said.

“Oh yeah that stuff happens to me all the time,” Sage said.

“Well you know that it never happens to me only that one time when my grandfather died,” I said with tears in my eyes.

“Yeah I know sweetie, please don’t cry we still have to go to school,” Sage said.

“Yeah you’re right, alright let’s go I don’t want to be anymore late then I already am,” I said clearing my face of tears.

Sage stepped on it and sped to school. We got there right as the first bell rang that means I got five minutes to get to my class. I made it just on time before I could be tardy, I went to my seat before I know it the second bell rang for my next class. I went to my locker and got my books for my next class, as the day went on I got to realize that I haven’t seen Jake all day.

I’ll have to ask Joe or Sage if they have seen him. I know that he has to be at school somewhere.

That’s when I realized everyone was acting super weird.That’s when it happens a car crashed right into the school, I rushed to see if the driver was okay.

When I went to the driver side the driver was not breathing, I felt for a pulse there was none. When I started to walk away the driver was awake, but not as a human.

The driver bit a student, the student didn’t die she just laid there.
