I screamed, releasing her, the pain growing, spreading through me. I hissed, and squeezed tighter around her throat. She made choking sounds, and the pain in my chest grew stronger. Unbearable, blinding pain went through me. My body spasmed, making me flail. Her throat left my grip and she gasped for air, stumbling back. Cold, sharp pain spread through my chest, and I looked down. A knife stuck out of my chest, plunged deep between my ribs. I grabbed the handle instinctively, and a scream tore through my throat.
