Gwen Sharp pain radiated deep in my chest. I gasped for breath, clutching my chest. I growled, staring around the room widely, like someone or something had caused it. But there was no sane reason for the pain. No one in the room had moved. It was only me, Genevieve, and a few guards in the room with the door. I hissed as the pain grew and my stomach curled in, tightening, twisting into a ball. My blood grew ice cold and layer of clammy, cool sweat covered my skin. “Something’s wrong.” I whispered. Genevieve stared at me. “I thought maybe it was me.” She whispered back. The guards in the corners of the room shuffled, but the pain grew worse.
