Genevieve returned her attention to Ansel, much to his pleasure. I scarfed my food down; unsure how long lunch would be. I would’ve asked Jay, but he looked to be in an unpleasant mood, scowling at the two of them. They didn’t notice. His eyes occasionally flickered to me, and I gave him small smiles.
