"Aye, you're finally awake. I thought I might have given you too much." He said as he walked closer to me.``What do you want from me?' I asked shakingly. Still feeling the effects of whatever he had given me. "You know what I want?" He hissed as he came closer to me, placing his hand on my arm. " I will get it one way or another.""I have no idea what you are talking about!" I almost screamed at him."Is that so? I guess I will have to tell you then. You see, I want your Alpha rank. And do that, I need you and your father out of the picture. So I came up with this plan to kill your father by poisoning him with wolfsbane and then you commit suicide because you couldn't live with yourself anymore because you were the one who killed him."So that's why my father's wolf couldn't heal him from this because he had wolfsbane in him. I need to get out of here and save my father before it is too late. I thought to myself. "You know too much now to keep you alive, so I need it to be like you took your own life after I killed the Alpha first. It will take place at the Alpha ranking ceremony," he says as he goes to leave the room. He stops and looks at me one last time and says to me he will be back with some food and water and not to go anywhere, he says with a laugh as he closes the door behind him, locking it back.I can't let him do that. I need to get out of here. Just then, I saw what appeared to be a bright light coming from one of the corners of the room and I saw someone walking out of the light. I took a better look and to my shock it was Selina the moon goddess herself." My poor child, what mess have you gotten yourself into, my dear? I will send help. Don't worry, everything will be fine." she said as she disappeared right before the door to my room opened. Seth walked in with a plate of food. He didn't say anything to me this time. He just placed the food on the floor and unchained one of my arms so I could eat and left the room without saying anything to me. About 10 minutes later, he returned to get my plate. Seeing that it was untouched, he didn't seem to be impressed with that. He looked at me and said "Now we can't have you starving to death, now can we. I need your death to look like an accident. You also asked why I am doing this well. I have only told you half of the reason why. The other reason is because of you and all the ones without a wolf. When I accomplish this and I take control of the pack, I will not have a bunch of weak people, and none, wolf members in my pack, so you won't be the only one to die when,, completed killing your father." After telling me he came up to me again with another syringe in his hand he tried to inject me with it but this time I managed to fight him off as long as I could. But he was stronger than me and he hit me with his fist on the side of my head and when he did, the world went black. As I was knocked out, I heard Selina's voice and she was telling me to hold on. That help was on the way. Just as I started to go too again, Seth walked into the room.``Ah you're awake again" he said with a sly smile on his face. "No thanks to you." I replied angrily. He just chuckled at me and was about to leave when he turned and looked at me. Oh and by the way, your parents are here as my guests as well. Don't try to find them. They'll both be dead by tonight." he continued with an evil laugh. He was just about to open the door to leave the room when the door blew open like that, exploded and, in, barged. Atlas, he went straight for Seth's throat. " Don't kill him yet!" I hollered. "He knows where my parents are." I continued. Atlas looked at me and then took Seth and chained him to another chair. After he did that, he released me from my bounds and helped me stand up. "Are you ok Kara?" He asked with concern. I just shook my head and went straight to Seth and punched him in the face as hard as I could. I rubbed my hand in pain as Atlas looked at me and just smiled. "Not so weak as he thought you were not, did he." He said with a slight chuckle. He reached for my hand and said, "Come, we need to go find your parents." I took his hand as we headed out the door, but not before making sure that Seth was tied up with silver chains first so he wouldn't escape. We made our way down a flight of stairs after searching the rest of Seth's house for them to no avail. When I started to hear sobbing coming from the other end of the corridor behind a door that was chained up. Atlas pulled the chains off the walls holding the door in place and was able to bust the door open. As we walked into a dimly lighted room, I noticed my mother leaning over my father crying. She slowly looked up at Atlas and said, "Please help him. Seth had given him some sort of injection and now he wouldn't wake up." I looked at Atlas with pleading eyes and he went up to my father and listened to his breathing, which was barely noticeable. Atlas undid my parents' chains and picked my father up and carried him out and took him to the car and left and took him back to my family's packhouse and went straight to the pack hospital with him. As he was doing so, my mother sent a mind-link to the pack beta and told him to go back to the place where we were and get Seth and take him to the dungeons in the basement of the house and to make sure that he was chained up while there. Soon after that, the doctor came running in and ran several tests on my father and found out that he had what I feared was wolfsbane in his system and enough to kill him. If we hadn't gotten there when we did, he would have died. "It will take time for him to recover from the wolfsbane, but he should recover completely from this. I don't know why I should have found this earlier when he was coming here when this first all started. I didn't think about wolfsbane poisoning in the beginning. Begin that Wolfbane is banned now." After I knew that my father was going to be okay. I got up and hugged Atlas and asked," How did you know that we were there?" He pulled me slightly away from him and looked me in the eyes and said, "You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you." "Try me." I said. He looked at me and then said, " Well, I was sitting at home getting ready to go and pick you up and I must have dozed off because, I had this dream that the moon goddess herself visited me and told me that you were in trouble and told me where I had to go to find you, and told me to go and rescue you before it was to late, thankfully she did because I was able to get here in time to save you father." I hugged him even tighter and said "I believe you she has even come to me as well." "Has she?" He asked. "Yes. I replied." he continued, "So what what now? I mean what do you want to do with Seth now that we have him locked up in the dungeon?" I asked him. "Well, typically in situations like this we would get the council involved and let them determine the form of punishment that fits the crime. I will contact the council as soon as I get you to your room to get cleaned up and get some rest." he took me up to my room so I could get cleaned up and get some much needed rest. He says, "I will have your pack doctor come and check you out after you have your shower before you go to sleep, just to make sure you aren't hurt if that's alright." "That's fine." I said as I walked into the bathroom to get my shower. I heard the bedroom close right as I was closing my bathroom door. I took my shower and as soon as I got out, the doctor was already in my room setting up his equipment on my nightstand. He gave me a once over and told us, "She's lucky you found her when you did. I don't think she would have survived another injection of wolfsbane, because wolfsbane works differently on people without a wolf, it is more toxic to them. A few nights of much needed rest and quiet will do you some good Kara. I am so glad that you and your father are safe. By the way, he will be just fine after a few days. His wolf is already starting to work on healing him." "Thank you doctor, I would like to go visit him as soon as I am able, too, if that's okay," I replied, "Of course, Kara, hun, he would like to see you as well. I told him that you both needed to rest first and then you two could visit each other after that." With that, I yawned and Atlas ran everyone out of my room so I could get some sleep. Once everyone was gone, he climbed up on my bed on top of the covers and wrapped his arms around me and I fell into a deep sleep.
