growing up in a failed environment

growing up, at a small community in a busy city, I (KARO) the last child of four, started a journey of life that was so much embracing for fellow neighborhood members to admire. it was full of positive energy to keep growing up step by step. I (KARO) was giving freedom to roam around the street and play with friends.. KARO was the sharpest, tallest, smartest, and noisiest among his childhood friends.. his closest friend then: was STEPHEN. but among them were VICTOR,TOBY, SAMUEL & DIVINE.. The 6 of them was the most the most popular kids growing up in the community, but all possess different characters and potentials. but when it comes to educational background: KARO was on top, dancing: STEPHEN was 1st, creativity : VICTOR was brave.. and all these kids keeps people talking about and around of their good combination. life was going accordingly as planned, but all the kids parents were not same financially. out of the 6 friends KARO'S was from different tribe compared to the rest kids. KARO family was not traditional but strongly sentimental with religious beliefs and values... stages of Life for everyone started changing base on financial security of different parents views, it's started when KARO parents cant afford paying for private schools and decided to enroll him to the community school, which is more cheaper.. but that's move from KARO parents changed the Life of the smart kid everyone knows... his 1st few months at the community school, makes him seize communication with the rest 5. all because of different timing. they only have the chance to meet just weekends!! KARO started loosing bonds with the rest 5 and started creating bonds with new friends, but that'll effectively create problems for him academically... KARO grades at school started depreciating slowly, and was loosing confident . seems he is not focused on studies fully again, because the 1st few months at his new school was full of stress registering candidates, finding your personal space for learning, and creating new groups of friends... I guess basically ( that's the most difficult aspect of Life ) .. in fact, when he is back from school, KARO has just 40% chance of meeting his parents or siblings at home and 50% chance of having lunch... still, with all the difficulties experience!!! he was living a blessed free life.. because he was and will be destined for greatness but still life goes on ... different dangerous scenario at KARO school which looks really bad, was gaining weight in the well being of his daily Life... he most time experience bully from senior colleagues or sometimes from his mates , all was not going well !!! BACK TO HOME Dad was ageing gently, ( oh I never mentioned that KARO'S dad was a local FisherMan ) ... so during the dry season , the local swamp area where you can get fishes from are getting dried up , and u can't afford to go on a daily basis, unless u want to waste half day of your 24hrs fishing for non existent aquatic animal. so during the summer period, life get tougher for KARO parents ... feeding trice a day was completely on strike. and having an allergic would make you starve yourself for the day.. so , most time Dad was used to alcohol anytime he feels depreciated, but it's not was helping situation... mum was struggling with her business.. she started getting involved with farm works, like: (frying, soaking cassava) for sale... ( me and my siblings refer her as the power horse of the family ) !!! THE VIRUS AND THE RESULT A perfect sunny afternoon, KARO was on his way home , back from school ... then he suddenly collapse and was quickly rushed to the community clinic... according to rumors, he consumed a dangerous substance that seems to has gotten to his kidney.. and need quick response.. KARO was unconscious for 6hours with intensive medical attention after 2 days, money was asked by the doctor on duty at the clinic to be paid quickly before the negatives part happen... but the bill was x6 of what his parents were earning monthly .. but since his mother is a devoted member at are religious place of worship, they decided to clear the Bill ... just few days after, he was free to go home and discharge .. but on medical terms.. days past, KARO finally got 80%/100 fitness.. then questions at home started booming MUM: KARO, come here KARO : ma, I'm here MUM : tell me the truth about your sudden collapse, don't lie KARO : (with tears in his eyes) mum, please forgive me.. that faithful day, I was hungry.. and a mate at school, who always comes with loads of foods and snacks offer me to eat from his plate MUM: so? KARO: so I took the food, but after eating, I started vomiting at the class.. and my mate started laughing at me MUM: why? KARO: three mate said, that's what suit me, so they decided to put some banned substance for me to consume... because I always like asking and begging for food... ( that moment, KARO mother was full of shame) and tears started flowing... ...... since the incident, she started working so hard for the family to feed better and be mock publicly . but her capacity was out of strength ..
