Chapter 6

The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. Savannah stirred, her body still blissfully tangled with Logan’s. His arm tightened around her waist, pulling her closer before she could even think of moving away. “Not trying to sneak out, are you?” Logan’s voice was low and husky, still thick with sleep, sending a delightful shiver through her. She chuckled softly, turning in his arms to face him. “Wouldn’t dream of it.” His lazy grin made her heart skip. “Good,” he whispered, pressing a lingering kiss to her bare shoulder. His lips trailed up to her neck, feather-light, making her sigh. “I could stay here all day,” she whispered, running her fingers through his tousled hair. “Who says you can’t?” Logan’s eyes darkened with playful intensity. “I’m not done with you yet.” Her breath caught as he rolled her beneath him, their bodies perfectly aligned. His gaze was smoldering, but there was something tender in the way he looked at her—as if she was the only thing that mattered. “Logan...” she whispered, her voice trailing off as his lips claimed hers again. Each kiss was slow and deliberate, as if he was savoring every second, every inch of her. Her hands roamed over his back, pulling him closer, feeling the tension coiled in his muscles. Their bodies moved together, every touch igniting another spark until the world around them blurred into nothingness. When they finally broke apart, breathless and smiling, Logan traced the curve of her jaw with his thumb. “You’re dangerous, Savannah.” “Me?” she laughed softly. “How so?” “Because the more time I spend with you,” he whispered, brushing his lips against hers, “the harder it is to imagine a day without you.” Her heart swelled at his words. She cupped his face in her hands, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. “Then don’t imagine it. I’m here.” He smiled, a slow, irresistible grin. “Good. Because I’m never letting you go.” Wrapped in each other’s arms, they let the morning slip away, lost in soft kisses, teasing touches, and the undeniable pull that bound them together. Neither wanted to think about tomorrow—because right now, all that mattered was this moment, and the undeniable connection between them that neither could deny.
