I stood in front of the bathroom mirror eyeing my body. I was wearing a regular plain white cotton bra and panties. I took in my long curly brown hair against my caramel skin.I had big hazel eyes with long lashes to go with it.My step mother had called me just fat and plain. Although I'm not in the slightest I have double d breast size flat tummy with a well rounded butt to match.I dragged a finger across a scar on my belly or maybe it was a birthmark I didn't know where it came from since I never met my real parents and I was adopted by people who only wanted me for the money. I sighed and I pulled on my skinny jeans and a red t-shirt with some black vans. I looked up at my clock and it was already seven fifteen. I ran downstairs to grab something to eat before I had to walk to school. When I got to the kitchen Pam was there god I hated Pam so much she kept reminding me that I was getting ready to turn 18 in a few months. Months not weeks, this is why I hated Pam my adoptive ‘mother’ she wasn't really a mother figure whatsoever I'm confident she hated me too. It was probably because I didn't fit her ‘picture perfect’ image. To her I was fat, my black hair brown eyes didn't quite fit her blonde hair blue eyes and unhealthy skinny looking image . I opened the fridge and she walked over to the counter where the coffee pot was and began to pour herself a cup
“eating again?” said said lifting her perfectly blonde arched eyebrow she sighed and walked back to the kitchen table she sat down.
I felt a lecture coming and it was seven in the morning! Jeez this is why her husband traveled so much this lady was annoying. I grabbed a green apple and bit into it. Grabbing a water out of the fridge
“ look i just want to prepare you for the real world. Your going to be eighteen really soon. You can't stay here forever.” she said stopping to take another sip of her coffee “I'm thinking of turning your room into a gym set up, what do you think? The color blue would look so nice against the wall colors. Have you found a nice place to live yet? I've told you on your eighteenth birthday you have to go, you know, isn't today your last day of school anyways? By the way, did you want us to come to the graduation tomorrow? I didn't buy a dress so I'm not sure if I can make it plus my husband is coming home. I'm sure he will be tired and-”
I cut her off ''I'm going to be late, gotta go!” and hurriedly walked out the door while eating my apple.
Man, I was hungry after graduation practice. I'd probably grab something to eat.I walked to school making it just in time for graduation practice. We practiced all of thirty minutes before they released us to go home I was kinda happy I didn't really have friends like that just Daisy. She decided to go straight home because she said she needed a nap before going into work. I Decided to head over to the nearest cafè and spend some time reading. After a short ten minute walk I arrived and ordered a iced raspberry tea and a spinach wrap. I was trying to be careful with my spending since id been saving up to move away.Tomorrow I would leave for good so id never have to see that sorry excuse for a "mom" again
