I Hate The Word "SORRY"

MICHAEL'S P. O. V

I was standing by the window of my room when I saw her at the gate. She wore a short black skirt that showed her long beautiful legs. She also wore a white shirt that showed her cleavage. She looked very beautiful. In the car, she questioned me and I didn't reply. I tried to keep my distance because I couldn't stop admiring her. I can't even understand the feeling I am having. I just met her yesterday and I can't stop thinking about her. I don't want her close to me and neither far from me. Whenever she walked in to my office, I tried not to look at her because I couldn't stop imagining her breasts and body. It was nine in the evening when she came to me and informed me she wanted to leave. I nodded my head slightly and she left. This is so much unlike me. I couldn't stop looking at her behind. She might think I am arrogant and mean. I watched her leave the company in a car.

"I guess it might be her boyfriend who picked her up" I said to myself

I worked till I was tired and left for the house.

BRIANNA'S P. O. V

Antonella: girlfriend how was your first day?

Brianna: I worked on some documents and files the entire day I didn't have time to eat.

Antonella: What? Why? you should have just taken permission from your boss.

Brianna: you think I didn't? I did but my boss is really arrogant. Whenever I talk to him, he ignores me. He acts like he didn't hear me. It's like I don't even exist.

Antonella started laughing

Brianna: don't laugh I am serious

Antonella: really? By the way who is your direct Boss?

Brianna: my boss is Michael Anthony Craine.

Antonella shouts excitedly

Antonella: oh my goodness you mean you are working with the biggest billionaire in the country.

Brianna: what is the big deal about that? He is very arrogant.

Antonella: oh girlfriend forget about that. you should concentrate on raising money for your studies

Brianna: you are right.

The rest of our drive was a quiet one. As soon as I got home, I went to bed after eating dinner.

The next day, I got to the office a bit late. I knocked on Mr Craine's door. I heard his deep manly voice telling me to enter. I nervously entered. He was standing by the window

"Good morning sir" I greeted

He didn't respond and neither did he turn to look at me. I walked out of his office and went to mine. I saw a lot of files on the table and there was a message attached to it.

"Please Work On These Files As Soon As Possible. Michael Anthony Craine" I read

"This man is just too much" I said to myself

I started working on them.

It took me three hours to finish. I went to his office to deliver the files. I knocked but he didn't respond. I opened the door slightly and peeped inside. I didn't see Mr Arrogant beautiful so I sneaked in and placed them on his desk. I quickly went back to my office. I read my emails and that was when I realised that I was supposed to attend a meeting in the conference room. The worst is that I was an hour late. I quickly rushed there. I opened the door and everyone looked at me.

"sorry for being late" I said and walked in.

I went and sat beside Mr Craine.

"Alright everyone the meeting is over" Mr Craine said

"Miss Bennett see me in my office" Mr Craine said

"oh my goodness I am in trouble" I said to myself.

He quickly left the conference room and I followed him running. He went to his office and I quickly entered.

"Mr Craine I am so sorry for being late" I said

"Miss Bennett the location of the meeting was inside the premises so tell me why you were late young lady" he said

"Sir please I saw the email late" I replied

"Miss Bennett, normal human beings check their emails as soon as they wake up in the morning or it's the first thing they do when they enter their offices" Mr Craine said

I realised that he was angry.

"Sir I worked on the files as soon as I entered my office. I'm sorry I didn't check my email and I'm sorry for attending the meeting late" I said

"Miss Bennett I hate people who are fond of saying sorry because mostly they don't mean it. From today, avoid using the word and don't commit mistakes. My son told me to give you a chance that is why you are still here. Don't give me a reason to sack you. Now get out" he said arrogantly

"S-s-sir" I tried talking

"I said get out" he shouted

I walked out with tears in my eyes. I have never been scolded this way before.

I went to my office and cried for a while. I didn't see him for the rest of the day. I worked for a while and I was able to close early.

The next day, I didn't see him when I got to the office but there was work for me to do. I went to the company's restaurant and heard that Mr Michael Anthony Craine has travelled.

"How can he travel without informing me" I said to myself

I went to Mr Andrew Craine's office. I knocked and he responded

"Hello Mr Craine" I greeted

"Hello Miss Bennett" he responded

"Sir please is it true that your father has travelled" I asked

"yes Miss Bennett" he responded

"why didn't he tell me? I know I was wrong for attending the meeting late yesterday but I apologised to him. I don't understand why he is still mad at me" I said

I felt at ease after pouring my heart to him.

"Miss Bennett relax. my father is out of the country on a personal trip not a business one" he said

I felt at ease

"Thanks for the information Mr Craine" I said

I left his office shortly

"wow I didn't know Mr Craine had a personal life. Now I am wondering who the woman is" I said to myself

For the next days, I was a bit free. I went to work a bit late and I closed early.
