JOHN’S POV.
“…I declare Mrs. Emily Granger free to walk away from the marriage, and marry again, only with a fated mate.” The Judge announced, and hit her gavel thrice.
Emily finally exhaled, and she and Lucas shared a bright smile. My family looked a little not too satisfied. They were probably thinking of how to explain to the public why a marriage of less than two months failed. Maybe they were also wondering what would happen if Lucas and Emily wanted to declare the marriage to the public.
I walked out of the courtroom angrily, and not long, I heard my name.
“John.” It was dad. I stopped, and bit my cheek hard, wondering if he couldn’t read my mood, and see that I didn’t wish to be bothered.
Slowly, I turned.
