Hodgenock and Knoxby watched the Spriggan lead the boys back into the Downs.
“Did you hear that?” asked Knoxby. “The Spriggan is taking them to Bonedread. I think we need to cut this quest short.” They silently crouched in the shadows until the boys and the Spriggan passed by.
“No. We stick with them, but not interfere. Not yet,” said Hodgenock. “They are determined to find the stones.”
“I know part of this has to do with Mibbitwiss.......Bonedread is bad news,” said Knoxby. “It's not like he'll throw out the welcome mat, serve up tea and biscuits.” He rubbed his stomach. “Hmm. Biscuits and jam.”
“I know all about Bonedread, my friend,” said Hodgenock. “We wait and watch. If the goblin tries to pull any of his tricks, then we strike.” He nudged the troll in his side and stood up. Knoxb
