Season 1,Episode 1: The Hunt
The crisp autumn air nipped at Henry's cheeks as he and his friends ventured deep into the woods. The scent of pine and damp earth filled their lungs, a familiar comfort that quickly soured. They were on their annual hunting trip, a tradition of camaraderie and the thrill of the chase.
The group consisted of Henry, Mark, Jake, and Alex, all seasoned hunters with a deep respect for the woods. They had been friends since high school and looked forward to this trip every year.
As they trekked through the forest, the sound of leaves crunching beneath their boots filled the air. The sun cast dappled shadows on the forest floor, and the trees towered above them, their branches swaying gently in the breeze.
The Unease
Henry couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. He glanced at his friends, but they seemed oblivious to his concerns. Mark, usually the most enthusiastic, was quieter than usual.
"Hey, Mark, everything okay?" Henry asked, trying to sound casual.
Mark nodded, but Henry noticed his friend's eyes scanning the surroundings with an air of unease.
The Disappearance
As the day wore on, the group decided to take a break. They sat down on a log, passing around a water bottle and sharing stories.
But when it was time to move, Mark was nowhere to be found. Henry called out his name, but there was no response.
Panic set in as the group realized Mark was missing. They searched the surrounding area, calling out his name, but only the echoing silence answered.
The Search
Henry's anxiety grew as the sun began to set. They needed to find Mark before nightfall.
The group fanned out, searching the woods and calling out Mark's name. Henry stumbled upon a faint trail of footprints, partially erased by the underbrush.
"Guys, I think I found something!" Henry shouted, his voice carrying through the forest.
The Unknown
As they followed the trail, the woods grew darker, and the shadows seemed to twist and writhe around them. Henry's skin crawled with unease.
Suddenly, the group heard a strange noise, like twigs snapping in the distance. Henry's heart skipped a beat.
"What was that?" Alex whispered, his voice trembling.
Henry shook his head. "I don't know, but we need to keep moving."
