I'm so lonely.

Caleb "I'm sorry. I should've watched my way." I apologized to the woman in her fifties. "I'm sorry." I was holding her by her arm to keep her balance. She just smiled at me. "It's okay, dear. No harm done." I cleared my throat. It was a bit awkward. I moved to the side and let her way into the store. I relieved a sigh when I was finally out of the store. Callum had that smirk on his face as he patiently waited for me. This kid is enjoying payback. I shook my head. "Wipe that smirk off your face already." "You deserved that. You kept teasing me. Karma's a bitch." We rode the elevator again as we went to the supermarket. Like I said, we need groceries. Our fridge was literally empty. "I just bumped into her. No big deal." "Yeah, but your face was really priceless. I've never seen you feel that awkward." I took a cart and started looking for the items we need. "I handled it pretty fine." "Yeah, whatever. You still looked like a lost i***t there." I laughed. "Whatever." I put cartons of fresh milk into the cart as Callum put his favorite pineapple juice. We also included pancake mix, eggs, hotdogs, bacon strips, pork, chicken, beef, and many more. I promised Callum that we would make and cook great dishes. When we thought we got everything we needed, we went over the counter and paid for the groceries. We all got three bags. I let Callum carry the lightest one as we walked out of the mall and to the parking lot. Once we reached our truck, we put the bags of groceries and clothes we bought at the back seat and hopped into our seats. "Where do you want to have lunch?" I asked my brother as I maneuvered out of the parking lot. He scratched his chin. He was thinking like an old guy. "What about McDonald's?" "McDonald's then." I made a salute action on him. It made him laugh. We were that close. We were just simply inseparable. Our bond was so strong like the opposite charges of two magnets. Somehow, I was wondering how it would feel to have a sister. What if we had a sister? If that would be the case, we would treat her as our princess and we would be her kings and soldiers. But still, I'm so happy to have Callum as my brother. He is all that I have. As the big brother, it was my responsibility to be a model for him. It was my obligation to provide what he needed in school or even personal matters. It was my big responsibility to keep him away from trouble and keep him safe. I needed to have time with him as much as I could. I needed to make him feel appreciated and wanted. That I was always there for him. I didn't notice that we were nearing McDonald's until I felt a stinging pain in my a shoulder. Callum just pinched me. Talk about being the big brother. I parked our truck in the parking lot and walked to the entrance of our favorite fast food restaurant. It was a little bit early for lunch time. The room was not that packed with McDo lovers. I hated ordering when there were so many people. It was a typical situation be disliked, especially when your stomach was shouting for food already. Callum found a seat for two at the corner and I mouthed at him to wait for me as I ordered our food. I had Mcspicy chicken, Mcfloat and fries. Callum loved chicken fillet with fries and Coke so I ordered them for him. "For you, my dearest brother." I put his food in front of him. "I'm your one and only brother." He said before digging in. I took a bite of the McSpicy chicken. "Hhmm. This is good." I chewed on it before asking Callum. "Will you get jealous if we have another sibling?" He was quiet for a moment before answering my question. "Of course. I won't like it if you spoil the other more than me." I chuckled. "See, you're still my baby brother." "I'm not a baby anymore!" I smirked. "If you say so." We had our lunch happily. We really enjoyed the food. "Let's take a rest for a few moments. We'll go the park afterwards. Do you still want to?" I asked him. "Of course. It's up to you though. Besides, you're driving, not me." I looked at my wrist watch. "It's still too early to go to the park." "Why? What time is it?" I leaned my back on my chair comfortably/ "It just turned two." I told him. "We'll pay game there. Would that be okay for you?" He pleaded. "No problem with that, bro." *** We went to the park as promised. The Central park that was so packed despite of its wideness. People and animals were everywhere. Couples, group of friends, and kids were enjoying. Even the animals too. Some were having a picnic and the others were just roaming around the park. I saw a group of children with their mothers and fathers in the playground and I couldn't help but admire them. They were in the same age as Callum, I thought. They all looked so happy and carefree. "I wanna join them." I heard Callum say. "Go ahead. I'll wait for you. We'll go to the pond later," "Okay." H ran off to the kids. I found an empty bench and sat on it. I decided to check my phone. There were no notifications. I'm so lonely. You're not. You just think so because you don't have a girlfriend. I felt myself frowning at the thought. I didn't need anyone, especially a woman, to make me happy. I had Callum and he was more than enough. He was all I needed. I sighed. I put my phone back in my pocket. I was about to stand up to watch over Callum when someone sat beside me on the beach.
