Caleb We arrived at the Callum's school at around 8:50 in the morning. Parents and guardians of students in sixth grade were starting to come into the respective classrooms of their sons and daughters. "Let's go?" I asked Callum once I had parked my truck. He started unbuckling his seatbelt. "Yeah. Let's go." I unbuckled my seatbelt and got out of the truck. We walked to the gate and to the sixth grade building. I slung my arm over Callum's shoulder as we walked to his classroom. I looked at him. He was wearing the same outfit as mine. We were both wearing faded blue jeans, black Abercrombie shirt, and our signature white sneakers. It was funny because when he saw me wearing a pair of sunglasses, he also wore his. Brother Goals. "We are here." He said as we stopped outside his classroom. "You'll come with me?" "Of course. I'm sure Mrs. Maxwell won't mind." "Okay. Come on." We got inside the classroom and all heads turned to us. I expected that reaction, though. Big Anderson guy and Lil Anderson guy. "Mr. Anderson, Callum. You're just in time. We are about to start the meeting." Mrs. Maxwell broke the silence. "By the way, the two of you look good. You're brother's indeed." She added. I chuckled. "Thank you, Ma'am." "Please find your seats." We looked for vacant seats and found two at the back. We occupied the two seats as Mrs. Maxwell opened the meeting. "As you all know, it was our Mr. Allen, our school principal's decision to call you all for a meeting. Your sons, daughters, and siblings will already be graduating elementary next week." She paused. "I have this paper where all the things that need to be done for graduation are listed." She was holding out a paper. "Of course, your pupil can't graduate if obligations in school are not yet paid..." She talked about so many things during the meeting as we just listened attentively. I couldn't help but feel excited for Callum. Finally, he would be in high school next school year. Time flew by so quickly and my baby brother was growing faster than I thought. It was around 10 pm when the meeting was finally adjourned. Side by side, Callum and I walked out of the classroom, to the gate and to my truck. As we got settled in the truck, I asked him. "You still wanna go shopping?" He started buckling his seat belt. "Of course. I need to buy a gift for someone." I started the car and maneuvered out of the school parking lot. "A gift? What kind of gift? And, who's that someone?" He chuckled, but my eyes widened when his chuckle suddenly turned into a giggle. I looked at him. "Did I just hear you giggle?" "Maybe." I turned my head back to the road as I laughed hard. "Seriously? Are you feeling giddy?" "Maybe." He giggled again. Oh my God. "Let me guess. You're going to buy Olivia a graduation gift." He gasped. "How did you know?" I shrugged. I was just guessing." Olivia or should I say Lulu, which was her nickname, was Callum's childhood friend. He had been liking her since third grade. That girl was so charming and sweet. They were best friends for life. I didn't have a problem with that because they actually supported each other all the time. I knew they would be still be good friends in high school. "Do you have a crush on Lulu?" "Me? No?" He frantically shook his head. I smirked. "Why are you so defensive then?" "I'm not! I'm just telling the truth?" He groaned and threw his hand up. "Why are your cheeks red then? Are you blushing?" "No! Come on. Stop it." I couldn't help it. I threw my head back, laughing so hard. I loved teasing Callum so much. He got so annoyed quickly. When my laughter died, I turned to look at him. He was sending daggers at me. "I'm sorry. I'm just teasing you." I ruffled his hair. "What do you want to buy for her?" "I still don't know. I was thinking about it last night, but nothing really came up to my mind. What will I buy? No. What should I buy?" "I don't know. Why are you asking me? You should know what she's fond of." "Hhhmmm. Cap?" I slowed down when we got near the mall. I found a space in the parking lot to park my truck. "Why baseball cap?" We got out of the truck and started walking to the entrance of the mall. We rode the elevator to the department store. The mall was really packed because almost all schools in town would have the graduation ceremonies next week. And speaking, I also needed to buy something for my brother. I still didn't know what to buy for him. I would just ask him what he wanted. "I want this for her." Callum held out a nude pink baseball cap. "That's cute. I'm sure, it will look good on her." "Really? This is it then." "Don't you want to buy something for yourself? Tell me what you want?" I asked him. "Is it okay with you?" "Of course, I have no problem with that. Don't worry. I prepared for this shopping." "It's just that we still need to buy groceries." "Don't worry, Cal. You should not think about it. It's all on me." "I know, but I see how you work hard for us." I sighed. "Hey, please don't worry about it. Now, get anything you like. And are you sure that's just what you want to give to Lulu?" "Yes, she'll be happy with this. Besides, she's not girly. She doesn't like dresses ever." "Okay." I suddenly saw a cool shirt that would surely fit Callum. It was plain navy blue with a pocket on the top left side. "Look. Doesn't this look good?" pulled the shirt from the hanger. "It does, but it also looks expensive." I looked for the price tag. "No. I can afford this. Don't worry." He shrugged. "You will still buy it anyway even I will tell you not to." I chuckled. "Of course. Everything for my baby brother." "I really hate it when you call me that. I'm not a baby anymore. Sooner or later, I'llbe in high school already. " "I know, but you're still my baby." "Ugh. Come on." I laughed. I just loved seeing him annoyed with me. "Alright, let's pay for these so we can go the supermarket. We need to buy groceries." "Yeah." "I went over the counter and paid for the items we picked. After receiving the receipt, I walked to Callum who was patiently waiting for me outside the store. I was putting the change in my wallet when I suddenly bumped into some woman. Oops. Sorry. . '
