Bloodlines: Alexus Dracula

Alexus: To understand my people you have to understand where we came from. On the first day of creation, there was day and night.  On the second day, there was the sky to separate the waters.  On the third day, there was the land and the sea.  Followed by plants and trees.  On the fourth day, there was the sun, moon and stars to give light to the world and to separate day and night.  On the fifth day, there were marine animals and winged animals to fill the sea and the sky with life.  On the sixth day, there were animals to fill the land and followed by Adam but due to his loneliness the creator created a companion, Eve, but this was where it started. We all know the story of Adam and Eve.  They lived in the Garden of Eden with only one rule, DO NOT eat from the forbidden fruit tree.  Once Eve bit the forbidden fruit she released evil into the world.  They became more self-aware and lustful.  Once they began to populate the world, the i****t of their genetics became impure and a mutant gene was created which lay dormant.  We have studied the gene for hundreds of years but we still do not know what awakens it.  In the beginning, there were only three vampires that turned through the mutation.  They are now known as the elder lines and existed for thousands of years before other genes began to awaken. First came the Dracula line.  The dragon heart – feared warriors born with the potential to lead those to victory.  It is also said that they have a roar so strong and mighty that it stills fear in their enemies and leaves them defenceless.  This is my line.  I am Alexus Dracula, granddaughter of Count Dracula.  Dracula was the first to change in 1404 when he hit adolescents.  My grandfather travelled around the world and found the other elders on his travels before finally settling down with my grandmother, Cristabella (Vampire) in 1645.  In 1701, they welcomed my father, Roman Valcone Dracula into the world.  He was the firstborn vampire and at times he was challenging.  My father eventually found my mother in 1865 and married her she was one of the first changelings (born Human, turned Vampire) and her name was Alexandra.  Not long after their wedding, my mother gave birth to me Alexus Rosetta Cristabella Dracula and then 48 years after that they welcomed my younger brother Roman Christopher Martinez Dracula.  We have since learnt that the gene takes effect during puberty.  Those who change are born human however those born after, the gene is awoken at birth but their full abilities do not come into effect until adolescents.  Unfortunately, we have also learnt that we are not invincible and we do age just at a slower rate than humans.  In 1875, my grandmother Cristabella was killed by a Hunter (Human Vampire Hunter) during an attack on our compound.  It was a loss that my grandfather never recovered from even though he insisted he was fine. The second elder to change was a dear friend of my grandfather, Romanoff in 1475.  Wolves Bane – Elite fighters and trainers.  Romanoff was killed during the Blood Wars of 1815.  He left a wife, Lady Amelia Romanoff (Vampire) and their son Jacob Romanoff.  Lady Amelia was the most feared and skilled fighter however her son is less than adequate and unfortunately for me he is also my betrothed.  An arrangement was made between my grandfather and Lady Amelia at my birth to unite the covens/elder lines. The third line is the Beauregard line.  Tiger Claw – Glitz and Glam is what they like.  The first to change in this line was Eliza Beauregard in 1480.  She was the daughter of a wealthy businessman and his wife.  Her life was full of privilege and spectacles but that all changed once she changed.  Her hunger and thirst drove her to kill both her parents.  She was locked up in a mental institution for the criminally insane.  However, Count Dracula and Lady Amelia caught word of this event and knew straight away that she was like them.  They both posed as doctors at the institution and helped Eliza escape.  Eliza never married but however did have a son, Jeremy Beauregard, in 1792 nobody knows of his father except for Eliza.  Jeremy was then married to the very posh and fancy Lady Elizabeth of Yorkshire and they gave birth to triplet girls in 1870, Emerald, Elizabeth and Emma who all had a crush on my betrothed, not that I cared they could have him if it was up to me.   Since there the Blood Wars a lot has changed. Hunters have increased in numbers and dwellers (vampires that eat humans and vampires) are becoming more common. The world is becoming more dangerous for our kind.
