BACK HOME
The journey back to the palace was quiet but filled with relief. Lunar had fallen asleep in his mother’s arms, completely exhausted from all the crying and the scary events. His small face was still a little puffy, but he looked peaceful now, safe and warm between his parents.
When they arrived home, the entire pack was waiting for them. As soon as they saw their young Prince was safe, everyone cheered and cried tears of joy. The worry that filled their hearts was finally gone.
Elana carried Lunar straight to his room. She laid him down on his soft, warm bed and covered him with his favorite blanket. She sat beside him, gently brushing her fingers through his hair, staring at him as if she couldn't believe he was really back.
"You are home now, baby," she whispered softly, kissing his forehead. "No one will ever take you away again."
Lance stood by the door, watching them. His heart was finally at ease. He walked in and sat on the other side of the bed, holding Lunar’s small hand.
"He is strong, Elana. Just like you," Lance said with a small smile. "Even though he was scared, he didn't let them break him."
"I know," Elana nodded, wiping the remaining tears from her eyes. "But from now on, we have to be extra careful. Those people were just the beginning. They wanted his power because he is special."
Lunar stirred in his sleep, murmuring something softly, then he slowly opened his eyes. He looked around and saw his parents watching him.
"Mommy... Daddy?" he mumbled sleepily.
"We are here, sunshine," Lance said gently. "We are all together."
Lunar smiled sleepily and stretched his arms. "I love you, Mommy. I love you, Daddy."
"We love you too, more than anything," they said in unison.
That night, the palace was filled with warmth and light again. The Royal Family was complete, and their bond became even stronger than before. They knew that more challenges might come in the future, but as long as they had each other, they could face anything.
