Blurb

Sutāru was just trying to go on about his day and get back home quickly before the rain came down and soak him and his clothes. But that plan was ruined when the same cocky group from his school cornered the redhead in a alleyway and decided to beat him up to the point he was near dead.

'All I wanted was to greet my mother and spend the rest of this weekend playing my favorite action game...'

Sutāru eyelids felt heavy as his vision started to blur up. Coughs of blood shot up his throat before everything turned dim.

'Maybe... this isn't as bad as I thought it'll be...'

"Sutārai! Sutāra! Wake up!"

The redhead shot up from hs place on the dirt ground. He looked around and saw nothing of what looked like his hometown. High-Rise buildings, beautifully lit electrical bulletin boards with various pictures, the sky was a dark red with glowing stars.

"WhhHaaA??!"

Sutāru was definitely hallucinating, right? Or maybe... this is just hell that he's now living in.

Prologue
The stars started to appear and sparkle up in the night sky. It was dazzling just like how the city was light up with festival lights and lanterns. Everyone who wanted to participate was given their own lantern to paint and design and once finished, they will all release them into the air. And that was exactly what Sutāru did when one of his friends threw him a lantern. The whole group was finally on summer vacation after their last day at Karārirī High School as 3rd years. "See Sutāru-kun? Look how much fun this is! There's even octodogs selling at one of the food stands!" "Yea! You always wanna miss out on everything and play that little game of yours; why not come outside, hang out with your bestest of friends, and enjoy the life as a teenager on vacation? We're gonna go into college soon, do you really want to waste your time doing nothing?" "I guess not. But still, we could've done something much less social during summer break." All of Sutāru's friends laughed before deciding to leave him alone for a bit before the redhead just leaves the whole festival after spending at least 2 hours of convincing just to get him here. Though he didn't want to admit it, Sutāru definitely had fun today and the food was surprisingly very tasty. The young redhead wasn't a social person all that much, but maybe going out isn't as bad as he thought it would be. It wasn't long before the festival ended. After the lantern show, the group decided it was time to go and bought some souvenirs to take home with them. It was already 11pm in Tokyo and was nearly the start of the first day of summer vacation. "Bye guys! We'll make more plans later." "Cool! We totally have to check out that wicked amusement park later on!" "Yea. I heard their making a new roller coaster that goes up like 75 meters high! Sutāru you gotta come with us." "Haha, I'll see what I can do." "I'll take that as a yes. Alright, let's get this summer vaca on the road!" And just like that, the group dispersed to their respected locations. None of the others lived on Sutāru street so he pulled out his phone, put in his earbuds, and started his way down the crowded roads to his home. Such a easy task was simple right? Nothing about it was dangerous in any way and was completely harmless. Well, that was what the redhead thought before he got pulled into an alleyway when he was only like 10 minutes away from reaching his house where his mother was waiting for him so they could celebrate Sutāru for getting into the college he dreamed of going to with the rest of his friends.  The redhead grunted in pain as his back hit the wall of a building. His phone fell out of his hand and dropped to the group before sliding away from his reach. All he could hear were the laughs of the people who were doing this before a hand grabbed his shoulder. Opening his eyes, Sutāru eyes widened as the guy him from on him was the big bully of the Karārirī High School. "Well, well, well, what do we have here? Sutāru the 3rd year. I still haven't forgotten when you talked back to me and punched my face. Had to go to the infirmary ya know?" "Tsk, why would I care? You were harassing a girl who clearly wanted nothing to do with your ridiculous looking face. Your horrible dressing, your stupid and unnecessary attitude towards everyone, and your absolutely ugly haircut. What? Does your mommy not give you enough attention at home you big cry baby?" The bully who's name was Warui gritted his teeth before throwing a hard punch into Sutāru's stomach which made the redhead drop to the ground in pain and clutch his stomach tightly. "Watch that mouth of yours! Ya know, maybe I'll have to teach you a lesson on how to respect your higher-ups. Alright boys, get this kid!" The redhead was desperately trying to understand what was happening but never got the chance as he was picked up fairly easily due to his body weight and slammed right back into the wall he was slump against on just a second ago. Due to the harsh impact, blood started to shoot up and out of Sutāru's mouth. Some landed right at his feet while the rest dripped down onto his red shirt he was wearing under his black blazer. The redhead had no time to respond as he was kicked in his side and flopped down to the ground. Sutāru's head made contact with the cold, concrete ground which caused hi vision to blur and spin. He wanted to give up now and just head home to see his mother, but he felt something step onto his head that was holding his down. "Have you already had enough? I don't think you have at all!"  "Maybe not... maybe so. But you *cough* can't... kill me.. without your stupid *cough*... goons..." Sutāru knew what he was doing perfectly well. And it was more than definitely working. Warui was getting angrier and angrier by the second and started to put more pressure on the redhead's head. It felt like he was being crushed by a big boulder and couldn't escape. "Forget just injuring you. Guys, you know what to do," were the last words Warui said before he left the alleyway to take out a cigarette and relief some stress. Sutāru laid there and endured kick after kick, punch after punch, and much more. By time the goons were done and gone, the redhead was basically just a bloody pulp at this point. He was going to just going to close his eyes, but then he heard it. His phone was ringing and vibrating as it moved itself around. It was his mother who was calling him. Sutāru's eyes started to water as he realized he couldn't even pick up the phone that was thankfully not smashed during the whole fight. 'I'm sorry mom... It looks like I won't be joining you in our celebration for going to my dream college... Nor will I be able to finish that game I loved..." It started to rain lightly before the rain came down heavily. And it wasn't long before Sutāru's vision was going black. His heart was starting to slow as his breathing became short. The falling rain was the last thing the redhead heard before everything came to a stop. "Kaga..." "Kagaya..." "Kagayaku!" Eyes shot open wide, Sutāru quickly sat up and felt all over his chest and body. There was no blood, pain, or anything of that sort nor was his phone anywhere near him. The redhead was starting to get anxious but the sudden slap that was delivered to the back of his head made him stop everything he was doing and looked at the usual dressed girl who stood next to him. "Hey! What was that for?" "What was it for? You're acting as if you have no idea where you are! Get up already, we need to report back to headquarters!" "Head...quarters?" That was when Sutāru started to remember small things. The girl who was talking looked exactly like the character Gijutsu from High-Rise Eikyō 7. But when Sutāru stood up from his spot on the ground, his surroundings weren't even close to being similar to where he previously was. There were high-rise buildings and some had bridges connecting them if the space between the two were too long, electrical light up boards that displays various pictures and then a scoreboard that says '3-4. Team Kirākurō Wins!' And the sky... it was.. red? Then the realization hit the redhead. This wasn't a hallucination, nor was it a dream because he pinched himself multiple times. This was High-Rise Eikyō 7! Then... was he really Sutāru anymore? "Let's go Kagayaku! We don't have all day and Headmaster is going to be mad with us if we don't hurry back already! The battle it already over, we lost... again." 'What was this? Kagayaku? Who's- Wait... I'm Kagayaku?! The same Kagayaku who is the weak player?! Out of all roles, they have to give me this one?' New world, new rules. Will Sutāru even survive here?
