“Yes, father, I can hear you. I’m not deaf,” Liam responded, fully aware of the conversation's direction.
“I’m surprised you still have the tongue to respond after almost scattering my months of hard work. What is this I’m hearing about you cheating on Sophia?”
“It’s already sorted out,” Liam responded nonchalantly.
“I’d suggest you talk to me with respect, young man.” Lord Ashford yelled. “If it’s been sorted out like you claim, Sophia’s father wouldn’t have called me and been yelling nonstop.”
