She was smiling , loving and affectionate but it wasn’t real I could tell it wasn’t real. There was something in her eyes I had never seen before . Not when she had realised who I was , not even when I forced my mark on her and claimed her without her permission.
I had seen plenty of warring emotions in her face. Hatred, loathing, love and lust and more than my fair share of that flash of unbridled determination but I had never seen this .
