After the loss of his family and mate in the blood war, Alpha Raymond vowed to never fall in love again. He devoted himself to rebuilding his pack and managing his billion dollar wristwatch manufacturing company. And despite his distaste for social interactions, especially with humans, Raymond managed to successfully run his company from the shadows. He even rarely met up with investors or board members of his company, but lets his werewolf cousin handle the formalities for him.
Two days before the annual werewolves meeting, Raymond was urgently needed at his company. It was the first time in months that he left his mansion, and that's when he met Stella. She was a new employee at his company who had recently moved to Los Angeles for her job.
Before coming to work that faithful day and meeting Raymond. Stella had already met a handsome stranger who lived in her building, but little did she know that he was a two hundred year old hybrid vampire who was captivated by her scent and just literally want her for her body.
Or maybe more.
So when Raymond met Stella for the first time in the elevator, he was immediately smitten by her raw beauty and playful nature. Despite knowing that it was forbidden for werewolves to be intimate with humans, Raymond couldn't help the sudden feelings he now had for Stella, and cause he wanted to know more about her, he took a step closer just to talk to her, but suddenly sensed the scent of a vampire on her, and withdrew.
Fearing for the safety of the human he was now inlove with, Raymond secretly watched over Stella every day for months. He even began coming to his company more often that before, and as he keep watch of Stella every move, his love for her grew. Eventually, he couldn't hold back his feelings any longer and barged into her apartment one day to confess his love. However, he was shocked to find the vampire he had been looking for and had been protecting her from inside her apartment, relaxing.
Jealous and enraged, Ray tried to drag Stella out of the room to explain the situation and his feelings. But Hunter, the vampire, intervened and stopped him before he could reveal the truth to her. In a fit of anger, Hunter knocked out Ray and kidnapped Stella.
As the leader of his pack, Ray mobilized his pack members during a full moon to search for Stella. Using their heightened sense of smell, they quickly traced her to the woods outside the city. When they arrived, the pack members were unhappy to learn that their leader had mobilized them for a human. Despite their misgivings, they helped Ray rescue Stella, but as a result of his actions, they voted to remove him as the leader of the pack and banished him from their group.
Left alone and without a pack or family, Ray was now only with Stella. After saving her life, Stella, who had previously had a crush on her boss, fell even more in love with him and was grateful for what he had done. With no longer having the responsibility of leading his pack, and now knowing that the human he loved also had feelings for him, even though he was a werewolf, Ray spent more and more time with Stella. They went on dates, attended events, and even went on adventures together. Stella showed Ray the beauty of being human and how to find joy in life. As they spent time together, they fell deeply in love and eventually got married.
This marks the end of book one.
