She was so dead, she realized as she took in her mother watching her. Ivy now approached her alone. Where Chris had suddenly gone, she didn’t have a clue.
“What was that about?” Ivy asked.
Her mother still stood by the door, taking in the rider in the distance.
“Justin Broadstone, guy next door, you know. He just came by to ask me out,” she said.
