Chapter one
Karen's P.O.V
The warm breeze that comes from the waters and it's majestic sound. It makes everywhere perfect for anyone.
The sunset had its own beauty that could not be compared. It is such a lovely evening to be with the one hearted person you love.
Simone lies beside me on the blanket we both lay on the sand to protect ourselves from the sharp claws of crabs and the likes.
I want nothing to ruin this day neither does he. All I want is to feel his body under the sunset.
His hands move around my waist and then to my stomach effortlessly as I gave him utterance. He played with my navel as I keep smiling sheepishly.
I was surprise to see that we are not the only couple that wants to enjoy the Sunday evening. This is the best day for a romantic date.
We simple found for ourselves a perfect part of the seashore which had no couple kissing or trying to eat each other up.
Simone doesn’t take his eyes off me which makes me bloom. I can't believe his blue sexy eyes are still on me.
“You are so aesthetic!” he compliment me with a whisper.
I chuckled and this time my cheeks were pink. “You don’t have to be shy when trying to flick with me.”
He stands to his feet and drags me up making me stand to my feet too, he pull me into a romantic hug and squeezing my body gently.
At first his grip on me was too tight but slowly I could find comfort in his hug as well as I relax on his chest.
“I don’t think telling you what I felt about you should be considered flirting" Simone says.
Simone has always been dainty with his words, saying only the things that pleases me and my ears are always eager to hear. It was his way of getting me and it worked for him.
Sometimes, he says a bit too much than he should but I never let it get into my head or get in the way. There is only so little a man can do for the woman he loves and men have a habit of making promises they are likely never to keep.
I am certain he loves me. But I want to be sure he truly loves me. Kind of sound stupid.
“Why are we still together?” I ask him.
Simone is shaken by my question but he has no reason to be afraid. I do not doubt his love for me, but right now, I just want him to confirm truly just what I mean to him.
He smiles and it shines brighter than the setting sun with his cute eyes.
“Karen, I don’t think you have any reason to ask that question. But since you have, I believe that I must give you an answer.”
I nod my head in approval to what he has just said.
Out of nowhere, he lifts me off my feet and carries me in his hands like I am a baby who weighs nothing more than thirty pounds if not less.
“Simone!” I yell, laughing softly as he runs towards the waters, his bare feet kicking against the wet sand.
We get to the water and walks in slowly and cautiously to avoid going in to deep and risking the both of us drowning on our date.
“Have you ever wondered what the best thing that happened in my life is?” he asks.
I feel my heart leap for joy. He is about to say something sweet and cliché something that will add more joy to me.
“The best thing that ever happened to me was running into you a few years back. The day my whole world as an Alpha changed for the very best,” he declares.
“And how should I be certain that I am the one who made your life change for the very best, oh dear Alpha,” I tease just to hear more of his pleasing words.
He smirks and to my surprise, he let’s go of me and I fall on bum, splashing into the seashore.
“Simone!” I yell laughing.
Couples passing by can’t help but stop to look at us as we enjoy each other’s company.
I chase him around the sand for a moment as he runs out of the waters but he is faster than me as I had expected. He must be using his werewolf speed to run because there is no way he could be that fast on a wet Sandy beach.
We return to the blanket and fall on it, slightly tired but most definitely exhausted.
“Simone. Don’t you ever leave me,” I whisper.
He hears me and smiles at me. “I would bring down the heavens and hand over my pack and all the packs I can conquer to you. All you have to do is ask.”
“And what does that do with not leaving me?” I question.
“It’s means that I rather lose my most priced possession and my dignity and power as an Alpha, than to lose you,” he responds.
My heart feels warm. His words make me happy and I can only but count myself lucky to have met Simone.
He made me a Luna, his Luna and has never let me out of his sight.
His clingy love has always been what I wanted and now that I have, I don’t think I ever want to lose for any reason.
He pulls me closer to him and kisses my forehead gently. Our romance which was never accepted by my grandmother at the very beginning was now one admired by all around us.
A human in love with a werewolf. An Alpha to be precise. It’s quite strange but to me, it doesn’t matter what he is. I’ll always love him.
“We should start going home. I’m sure the night pack is missing you, and your beta must be tired of running the pack without you around,” I suggest.
He stands to his feet and helps me up. We pack up our bag and he neatly folds the blanket back into the bag.
He pulls me by the waist, his grip tight and firm as his lips crash against mine. His lips ever warm and beautiful and tasty.
“Now we can head home,” he declares victoriously as we walk side by side and return to the village.
We arrive at his house and there’s a woman standing outside the door. It looks like she has been there for a moment too long and I wonder what her mission could be.
There’s no sign of Alaric anywhere. He is usually with guests like this when they come to see the Alpha but there’s an off energy about whoever this lady.
Simone's smile from our little date and completely been erased from his face barely by seeing the lady at the door.
“Who are you?” I ask.
She ignores me. “I can see why you left and never bothered to know how I was doing.”
“Who are you? I won’t ask again.”
My heart is trembling, who could she possibly be and what does she mean by Simone leaving her.
“You didn’t even bother introducing me to the beautiful lady,” she teases as she continues to stare at Simone who has said nothing since arrived.
I turn my attention to him. “Simone, who is she?”
“Karen, this is a misunderstanding of some sort. I don’t know what she’s doing here but it’s not what you think,” Simone finally speaks.
His response doesn’t sit right with the lady who stands before me.
She faces me, her hands akimbo as she stares at me.
“I am Simone's lover, and I am pregnant for him.”
