“I will call you back,” Tory said as she heard a second subtle thump coming from inside. She hesitated for a moment but gave in to the desire of her heart. With a delicate turn of her neck, it soon revealed a dark figure entering through the front door. Without having to take a second look, she knew exactly who the figure was. Although Tory had been expecting him to return, she had hoped it was not this soon. Tory watched him slowly migrate through the room without so much as a glance in her direction.
