Chapter 12: His Side of Story

Luke's POV:

Im an Alpha to the Thunderwood pack for 8 years. Unfortunately, I still couldn't find my mate. I've never date anyone before coz I swear to myself to wait for the perfect moment when I find my soulmate, she's the top reason why I am focusing on being a better Alpha. But it's been 8 years since I turned 18 when I supposedly find her. Yet, I never lose hope, thinking that someday I'm gonna find her in a perfect time. After all, nobody pressured me to find a Luna, everyone wanted me to have a better life of my own. However, some of the women pack member wanted to have a Luna so there's a female leader that they can relay on. Dad decided to visit an old friend in Millwood 8 months ago, his old friend has a daughter and he wants me to be mated to that girl. I strongly refused to his idea coz I will wait for my mate given by the Moon goddess in whatever circumstances. Nobody can ever tell me what to do even my father. I have a strong faith that Im gonna find her one day and I'll wait for that day to come. One month after dad's plan, he got a call from a Lawyer, Atom Reynold, dad's friend. He's human but knows our secret.

Dad informed us that his friend died with his wife in a car accident, the daughter then runaway just a few days after the funeral.

"I made a promise to paul that I will protect his daughter at any cost when this moment come." Dad said during our family talked.

"We need to find her immediately, jackson. I am afraid that she'll end up in the hands of others." Mum said in a teary eyes. Seriously, how important is this girl to my parents.

Fast forward....

I know, bailey my favorite she-wolf cousin will be coming to thunderwood since our aunt's wedding, dad's younger sister, will be on friday. Well bailey is living her life away from werewolf world, she even hide her scent for the reason that she's not ready to find a mate anytime soon.

It was late afternoon of tuesday, we were cliff diving with my beta, Alexer when I smelled an unfamiliar scent. Vanilla and strawberry. At first it was vague then in just a blink of an eye, it become stronger and I feel like I am already addicted to it. Suddenly, I felt uncontrolled excitement and my wolf, Marcus yelled at my head, 'Mate!! It's our mate! Hurry and find her, she's here in our territory!

'Okay. I am more than excited but relax. I'll go find her.' I assure my wolf that we'll gonna find our luna.

"Hey, man! you okay?" Alexer suddenly interrupted my thought.

"Yah, I think I gotta go. She's here."

"Whose here?"

"My mate! Gotta go find her now."

"Oh God, bro! Finally, have you smelled her scent?!"

"Yes!" I yelled in excitement. I jump to the ground, grab my clothes and tie my long hair in a bun.

"So, should I go with you or you can handle it alone?" Alexer asked in concern.

"I go alone, Lex. I'll just follow this intoxicating scent."

"Okay, I'll see you in white!" He chuckled!

I left alexer and go on my track. I follow the scent and it lead me to Woods house. I saw a new car parked outside and I know its bailey. I can hear the conversation inside the house and there's an unfamiliar voice, A voice that is like music to my ear. I entered the house, they're inside the kitchen. I rushes toward my cousin and spotted a tall, young lady sitting at the table opposite to bailey.

She's like 6 flat tall with a strong body feature. Copper brown wavy hair, blue eyes that matches her fair skin complexion. She's so damn beautiful, perfectly made to be a queen. I introduced myself to her, She looked at me and our eyes met for a moment it feels like heaven.

I mind link everyone around to inform them that this girl is my mate, that this girl is their Luna. And open a conversation with bailey.

I cant explain this feeling and its even hard to control marcus. He's jumping in excitement inside my head.

'She's so damn beautiful. Worth the wait, right?!' Marcus exclaimed.

'Yeah, she's a treasure.' I agreed.

After the dinner, we go for a run with bailey. I asked her to stay here with my mate, I dont want her to leave anymore. She's mine and I'm gonna marry her and make her my luna, my queen, and mum of my pups. I cant wait for that moment to happen. Unfortunately, there's always a battle to achieve the happy ending.

The night after Morreth's wedding, I discovered that my mate is running from a human hybrid and a beta of Black river pack. Black river is known to be intelligent when it comes to business. They are manipulating human for the sake of money. They are not interested in human to be their mate or partner because they saw human as a weak and stupid creatures. So Why suddenly this Beta Gabriel became interested to Human ari who turn out to be my mate. I'll have to investigate about it. I hid my Luna, Ari in my room coz I still have to go back to the wedding reception. I actually dont want to go back there, I just wanted to spend the rest of the night talking to my mate, I've waited for nearly a decade to be with her and now this alpha thing has to steal my time with her. I wish I was just an ordinary creature.

I inhaled her scent to calm myself and I got out from my room and headed back to the reception.

I met dad under the tree 3 minutes away from the reception.

"What happened, my son?" Dad asked in concerned

"My mate, shes afraid with gabriel. She said that she's been hiding from him 3 years ago because gabriel got interested in her before. And she think that till now they are looking for her. Maybe that's one reason she left Millwood." I told dad.

"We need to handle this situation carefully. First of all, we need to know what got them interested in her."

"Yes, dad. I need to protect my Luna."

"We need to go back there. Let's begin the investigation tomorrow. I'll asked a help from a friend in Millwood if needed."

"Thanks, dad!" I said and dad tapped my back reassuring that everything's gonna be alright. This old man is always like this.

Then my mind and my wolf think about our mate. How is she doing in my room, what movie did she watch or what song she's listening right now in my theatre. Ugh, I want to go back to my room right now.

Alexer punch me at the back that made me jumped off.

"Man, what are you doing! Let's have a party. Where's your mate?"

'Dont mention about mate here.'I mind link him

'Oh sorry, man. What happened, did she reject you?'

'No! ofcourse not! We have a meeting tomorrow. You'll know about it. It's gonna be fun, trust me!' I told him. Alexer is my classmate back in law school, he like working as an investigator in human world. So this assignment will gonna be exciting for him.

'Can you tell me what it is?

'Tomorrow.' I said in an alpha tone. I always used my alpha voice to him whenever I wanted to pissed him off. Well, it always works.
