Chapter 9: The Mall

We quickly get into the car, I sat at the passenger seat since kim insisted to sit at the back. Luke drives so fast that it only took us 5 minutes to arrived at the mall. This mall is not big enough like the other malls that i've been too but according to bailey everything you need here. from clothing to appliances and so on.. Luke drop us on the front gate and he went to the parking area.

"Okay, let's wait jakey here. It's been so long since we go for a shopping together!!" Kim said in excitement to bailey.

"Exactly. and we need to catch up this time." She then turned to me, "we grew up together. I think I am closer to her than my own siblings. you know, age differences."

"I grew up alone. Mum is my shopping buddy. friends in school doesn't fit my scheduling." I talked to both of them reminiscing my time with mum.

"Oh yes! you're an only child." Bailey said. then luke arrived at the same time.

"So, let's get inside. Ari, if your tired and dont want to go with them, I can just bring you to the park and get an ice cream." Luke said.

"It's okay, i'll go with them. after all, it's been nearly a year the last time I went to a mall."

"Shall we go to the ice cream first?" Luke said looking at me.

"Yes, I'd love that." I responded.

"It's the best ice cream in town ever!" Bailey exclaimed.

"Yeah! Miss the old days, Lils." It was Kim this time.

We find a table for four at the corner of the shop so we decided to sit there.

"a scoop of vanilla and strawberry, please." I ordered at the counter and they followed.

"So, you like strawberry and vanilla, just like your scent." Luke said when we are already sitting the the table. Kim and bailey look at him in shocked so before they could think of something else I decided to say, "Yes! and I am using Vanilla scent mist." I said while raising my mini bottled mist that I got from my pocket.

"See," Luke said eyeing the two.

"You were right guys, this is the best ice cream that I've ever taste." I said while licking my wooden teaspoon.

I caught luke looking at it when I turned to him.

"Why they dont even open a branch in Millwood." I mumbled to myself.

"Mrs. Cathy doesnt like crowd."Kimmy chuckled.

"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you Ari. Morreth change the theme for here wedding. She changes it to boho so that means, we have to buy another piece of gown. I am excited for the shopping, kimmy. it's been a long time since we did this together." Bailey said

"Okay" my only respond. Well, I have to spend a dollar again.

"Im so excited, lets go, guys."kim said while giggling.

We ride an elevator and arrived at the 3rd floor of the mall. We then headed to a Party shop. This shop is so huge that it almost covered half of the building.Well, all your party needs is here inside from different kinds of gowns, suits to decoration and so on. Bailey and kim went to a separate ways to find a gown for themselves but we agreed meet at the fitting room.

"Will get a suit?" I asked Luke standing beside me while I am looking around to find a dress.

"Maybe. Can you choose one for me?"

"It seems that you like black. Let's find you a different color aside from black." I paused, grab his arm to the direction of suits. "Here, try it on." I handed him a white boho bottom and long sleeve tops.

"Okay, wait for me here." He excitedly get it from my hand and got to fitting room right away.

He then came out wearing that, oh gosh.. He's so handsome in that outfit with his hair down to his shoulder.

"How do I look? Do I need a pair of shoes too?" He said.

"Yeah, maybe. you look good in that. I think you should change your favorite color from black to white." I said and he grinned like he's controlling to say something.

"Black is my resemblance." He replied.

"Okay, so let's get you a shoes then."

"Since you choose for me, I'll choose a dress for you." He said with a small smile on the corner of his lips.

"Oh no way! You dont know my taste."

"I will figure it out. come on, to the ladies section." He said gesturing his hand for me to follow him which is I did. He get a medium pale tint of yellow plane long sleeve boho dress and long enough to cover my entire legs and put a bohemian hat on my head.

"Go, try it. I'll wait for you outside." I actually wanted a blue dress but when I saw this one I got excited to try it on. it's the color of vanilla extract, anyway.

I came out from the fitting room and spotted luke, looking at me and I noticed that his eyes changes color from hazel to black. I blink a few times and when I notice that it's hazel I smiled at him. Maybe it's me seeing something not his eyes.

"You look stunning, Arya!" He said.

"Should I get this---"

"Yes, I like that on you. Perfectly match with mine." He said chuckling.

"What about your shoes?"

"Oh, right. let's get a shoes." He said and went back inside the fitting room to change to my cloth.

We then headed to footwear section and we found one that matches our outfit.

"I'll pay this time." I said.

"No, I'll pay."

"Let me pay, please." I pleaded making a cute eye contact.

"Find!" He said. I handed my card to the counter since I dont have cash with me.

"Let's go to another shop, we'll just get back here when kim and lily is done. I'll just phoned them." He said.

"I think that's not a good idea, let's help them instead. they might need a hand for their dresses." I said and went searching for the two.

We found kim and bailey at the fitting room on the other side of the shop. Luckily, they are done choosing a dress and headed to counter to pay.

We went directly to the woods' house after the shopping. It's 9 at the evening so I informed bailey that I will now take a rest coz im already exhausted for today's activity. Kim and luke still down stairs, they're making a plan for morreth's day tomorrow. Olivia arrived with Audrey, they are all happy for morreth, their younger not so little sister.

I go directly to the room. Lay down on the end side of the bed, closed my eyes...

'Mum, I wanna go with you. Where's dad? I miss you two so much....'

I woke up from a dream. It's too early and my sleep isn't deep enough to be dreaming. I quickly get up and went to shower to clean myself then I go to bed.
