   I just clocked out from my shift it is 3:00 am, I sent a text to Giorgio saying my shift just ended. He sent me a text saying he would be there in ten minutes to pick me up. I grabbed my purse and went to wait outside, the parking lot is always well lit at night and it is a safe area so I wasn't worried. I was playing a game on my phone while I waited when a voice in front of me said, "Excuse me, are you Arabella?" I looked up from my phone to see a lady in her late twenties dressed in a low cut skin tight red top and black skirt that barely covered her ass. "Yes, who are you?" She smiled at me but it didn't reach her eyes, "My name is Lara, I just wanted to have a quick chat with you and tell you that you need to stay away from Gio." I laughed, I don't know who this b***h is but she is not going to intimidate me. No way in hell am I going to let her try to take my man from me. "Look lady, I don't know who you are and honestly I don't really give a damn. There is no way I am going to stay away from him, I am his mate not you except it and move on." She glared at me and took a step closer getting into my personal space. "Listen b***h, Gio is mine. I have been with him longer and we have an amazing s*x life, then you come along and think you can take him from me just because you are his mate, I don't think so." I shook my head, man this slut is delusional. I pushed her away from me before saying, "Let me ask you this, if Gio is so into you then why is he spending all his free time with me and hasn't mentioned you once?" That seemed to really piss her off, she made a move to try to slap me but I grabbed her hand before she could make contact.

    I released her arm and said, "You really don't want to do that." She smirked at me and replied, "I think I do." She came at me tackling me to the ground but I spun us at the last second so I would land on top of her. I slapped her across the face hard, she let out an angry screech before grabbing a fistful of my hair and pulling. I cursed before punching her in the face splitting her lip, "Pulling hair is such a b***h move Lara." She was able to roll us over and tried to throw a punch at my face from on top of me, I blocked her punch with my forearm. I lifted my upper body and head butted her in the face, breaking her nose. She screamed and I was able to roll her off of me just as the light from someone's headlights washed over us, I lifted my hand to cover my eyes. I heard a car door open and close and I let out a sigh as I heard Gio say, "What the hell is going on here?"

     I get in my car to go pick Arabella up from work, I turn on the radio and listen to music as I drive. I smile as I think about my beautiful mate, It's crazy how much I missed her while she was at work. I just can't wait to have her in my arms again. I pull up to the parking lot of The Whiskey Courtyard, as I pull into the lot I see Arabella and Lara on the ground, and Lara was bleeding from her nose and lip. I get out of my car and say, "What the hell is going on here?" I walk over to Arabella and help her get up off the ground, she was covered in dirt and had blood on her shirt. She looked up at me and said, " I was just waiting for you and she came up to me telling me to stay away from you then she attacked me, I was just defending myself." Lara screamed, "She broke my f*****g nose." I could feel my eyes turn black in anger as I turned to Lara and said, "I warned you, I told you I had found my mate and we are done. Then you attack my mate, what did you think would happen Lara? Did you really think that I would choose you over my soul mate. You and I were never together, it was just sex." I was about to grab Arabella and get in the car but then I realized something. I never told Lara who my mate was, so how did she find out who my mate was and where she works. "Lara, how did you find out who my mate is and where she works?" Lara instantly paled and said, " I got a little information from a friend who knows who she is." I walked closer to her and looked into her eyes with a deadly glare and asked, "What friend?" She cleared her throat and replied, "Tony."

    Rage filled me at the betrayal of on of my best security guards, "Tony has been working for me for years, how did you get him to give you the information?" She shrugged her shoulders, "It wasn't hard, he has a crush on me, I invited him to lunch asked him a few questions, he told me everything I wanted to know." I clenched my jaw and got right up in her face and said, "You will leave my mate and I alone, if we see you again you will regret it." I gently grabbed Arabella's hand and led her to the car, I opened her door for her and closed it behind her after she was situated. Then I walked around to the drivers side and got in and pulled out of the parking lot. After a few minutes I was able to calm myself down, I glanced over at Arabella and asked, "Are you okay?" She looked over at me with a smile and said, "I'm fine, she really doesn't know how to fight. She didn't even get a hit in, kind of pathetic really." I laughed and shook my head, for someone so small my mate is a fighter and I couldn't be more proud. We arrived back at my place by 3:30 am, I parked the car and got out then went around to the passenger side to open her door for her.

    By the time we got back to Gio's house I was half asleep and nearly dead on my feet, seeing this Gio pulled me into his arms and carried me into the house. I was expecting him to put me down when we got inside but he carried me all the way up stairs and into his bed room. He gently placed me on the bed and asked, "Do you need help changing or do you think you can do it yourself?" I thought about it for a second before replying, "I think I'll need help, too tired." He chuckled and said, "Okay baby, just one second let me just go get your bag so we can get you changed." He walked into the closet and a few seconds later he came out with my bag. He placed it on the bed and took out my pajamas, he placed them on the bed next to me before turning back to me and helping me out of my clothes. It took him awhile to get me changed especially since he kept stealing glances at my body, but I didn't mind. When he was finally finished he put my uniform into the bag and returned the bag into his closet as I slipped under the covers on the bed. Gio came over to my side of the bed and bent down to place a kiss on my forehead, "I'll be right back love, I just have to go have a quick chat with my security team." I nodded my head and watched as he walked out of the room. 

   I rolled over onto my back and closed my eyes trying to go to sleep, but even though I am very tired I couldn't fall asleep. I hope Gio doesn't take too long, all I want is to be in his arms surrounded by his amazing scent.
