The Fates were looking down on the events of the night with a satisfied smile when Selene came running to them. She was surprised over what was done and worried about Esmy.
"Please, let her come back," Selene begged the fates. Her heart was broken by the sight of Esmy's lifeless body.
"You need to go to her as she sleeps and guide her back," the Fates said to her as they pulled up Esmy's thread. They showed her that it was indeed strong, but she needed reassurance to come back. Besides, the Fates had good in store for her now. "Look," they beckoned Selene, showing her Merideth's thread is just as strong.
That was all Selene needed to hear as she hurried to where she was sure Esmy was.
