They only managed to react to it after she had left the toilet. She got back to her desk. She was angry at the way these women perceived her.
She also wondered how many of them in the department think the way those women in the toilet thought.
She couldn't even concentrate on her work anymore because of this. But she tried her best to focus on the draft that was before her.
When it was time to knock off, one of the ladies that was in the bathroom said, "you guys can leave without me, I want to see which car she will get into after work. I am very sure that whoever gave her this job will also offer her a lift back to wherever she stays."
She made sure that she spoke loud enough for Faith to hear her. Faith was very irritated by that comment. She packed her things and decided that she will finish her work back in her flat.
Right here, there seems to be people that are against her finishing up her work.
She got up and she was prepared to leave. Everyone looked at her when she left and while still walking to the door.
She realised that if she does not put this woman into her place today, then she will forever be bullied in this department.
She turned and said, "why are you acting as if you want to see who will come pick me up? Like I said in the toilet. Some of us are here because of merit and not because we have allowed men to enter into our precious fields. Why are you lying to them? why are you acting as if you want to see where and whom I will be going with? Why don't you tell them that the man you are cheating with is waiting for you in the parking lot? Answer the phone that has been ringing non stop. You might just lose a free meal for tonight. Pray that his wife doesn't catch up with your act, she might just do wonders to that precious face of yours."
Everyone could hear the phone vibrating and seeing her not refuting what Faith has said made them believe Faith.
They were too shocked and some of them thought of the way she entered the company. She also got in through back doors.
Most of them were even afraid to approach her because they did not know how she got the job. There was no vacant post at that time but she managed to be hired.
They were shocked to realise that the reason she was hired, it was because she was dating one of the managers.
This is probably one of the reasons why she always brags that the department manager can not fire her.
She always brags that the department manager has no right to fire her. In fact he is not worthy to do that. If the day comes and he does that, he might just be the one to lose his job.
Now they finally understand why she would say those things and also say it boastfully. They laughed and said, "it certainly looks like our department will be lively once again."
They shook their heads and picked their bags then left. Only she was left alone, the friends she had could not remain behind.
They knew that she has been busted and they might just take the fall for what Faith has done.
Their friend was one person that usually takes out her frustrations on people she looks down upon. They did not want to be victims, they also did not want to go back home angry.
She answered the phone and said, "Hi! I am sorry for not picking up soon. We may be busted anytime soon and may need to find ways of not being seen anywhere around the company. Why don't you go to our normal meeting place and I will get a taxi to take me there. Some of my colleagues are already suspecting that I am seeing someone who has a higher position."
The man answered, "ok, don't be late. I promised my wife to be a little bit earlier than usual tonight."
She hated it when he brings his wife into their conversation but she has no choice. She dated him knowing fully well that he was married.
She looked around and she was very happy that the department was empty. Not knowing that someone has hidden very well and heard everything she was saying.
She was a relative to someone who had a husband that was a manager in this company. The wife has been crying and saying that her husband is cheating.
She has been saying that she has been patiently waiting for him to change for years. But it seems as if things have gotten worse than before.
The husband has been cheating for years but she has been brushing it off. However, things were getting worse.
Whoever he was cheating with seems to be spending more of their money than before. Sometimes they even run out of bread in the house.
She sometimes does not even know what to give the children when they say they are hungry. The husband has even reduced the amount of money he gives her for groceries.
The husband claims that he has run out of money but he always comes back home late. Claiming to be working over time to support the family.
She has been hoping that there would be change in the amount of money he gives her. But there has been no change even though he says he works over time at work.
She has been feeling sorry for her cousin and has vowed to find out whom he was cheating with. She has not told her cousin about it.
But she has vowed to search for whoever he was seeing until she finds that person. She will make sure that she humiliates this mistress in all possible ways.
She will post her online so that all married women can be aware of this vulture. She is not married yet because of women like Amanda.
She was really praying that she was the one cheating with her cousin's husband. This woman has been a pain in the department.
If there was one thing that could bring her down from her high place was this scandal. She smiled as she thought of ways she could do to humiliates her.
She waited for her to stand up and and leave then she followed her. She did not want to expose her today. But she had planned to at least find the meeting place.
Once she finds where they usually meet then it will be very easy to expose them of what they were doing.
She followed her to the motel and she was very shocked to find her cousin in law's car in the parking lot.
She may have wished that it was him but deep down she certainly was not ready to face her cousin and tell her what she has discovered.
She followed her to the room but still made sure that she was not seen that she was following her from behind.
Amanda did not even notice that someone was following her from behind. She just told herself that she needed this man to relieve her of the stress she had.
The only thing on her mind was the way Faith talked to her. No one in the department has ever dared to talk to her the way Faith did.
She also wanted to know who has given Faith this position. She was hoping it was someone that her boyfriend could deal with.
This woman has to be fired even before she can get her first paycheck. She can not humiliates her in this manner.
Lisa took pictures of Amanda and the man while they were standing on the door. Then they got into the room.
She then decided to stay a bit longer and see where this will lead them. She got closer to the room after twenty minutes and she was very shocked to hear such sounds coming from the room.
She was very thankful of having a new colleague like Faith in the company because without her giving them hints. She wouldn't have thought that Amanda was the one cheating with her cousin's husband.
She then got into her car and left. She will find time and tell her cousin everything she has discovered.
They just have to have a way of finding them doing the act. They will need to make a video of it and that would be a scene that will bring her down.
She thought of Faith and wondered how she knew these things when they have been working with Amanda for so long.
Faith walked from the company to her flat without knowing that some people from her department were already thinking of lot of things about her.
When she got into the flat, she heard a knock and she was very shocked to see Brandon's mom on the door.
