Ch.2 Marco's Threat

1158 Words
Shea was stunned. Her breath seemed to catch as her heartbeat slowly quickened. Shea's heart was throbbing from the handsome face the man had. The masculine scent immediately filled Shea's nose. The man moved his body closer to untie Shea's hands. Then he straightened and took two steps back from Shea. "Clean yourself up. I'll be back in an hour," Marco said before leaving Shea alone in the room. Shea was awakened by the fleeting magic caused by the unfamiliar man's charm. Shea's eyes began to wander around the room. She saw the night atmosphere from the balcony. "To hell with his orders. I've got to get out of here." Shea muttered and got up from the bed. Even though her body felt very weak, Shea did not want to give up her chance to escape. Shea started walking towards the balcony and looked around the house, which looked deserted. "How do I get down?" She muttered, trying to think. Shea looked back as the white cloth covering the window blew in the wind. She sighed softly, relieved to find something that could help her get out of the house. Without waiting long, Shea immediately pulled the curtains. Occasionally, she was almost pushed back because her body was too weak to resist the pull. When it was long enough, Shea tied the end of the curtain to the balcony wall. She then threw the ties down. She looked at the end of the curtain to make sure she could climb down. Shea began to climb up the balcony wall and then clung to the curtain she had arranged earlier. She started to descend slowly. When she wasn't too high, her body fell onto the grass. "Aaakkh!" Shea winced. Her back hurt. Instead of Shea trying to get up, Marco, who had been in the hallway just five meters behind Shea, was stunned by Shea's sudden presence. He immediately put his cell phone in his pocket and walked over to Shea. Shea stopped herself. She immediately turned around when she heard the sound of footsteps. Her eyes opened wide to see Marco standing in front of her. Shea's body froze. She was afraid. Her attempt to escape was known to Marco. Marco's eyes staring at Shea could frighten the girl. Marco stuffed his hands into his pockets with an angry expression on his face. "Your ears should still have a clear understanding of my orders," Marco's voice was low. His voice was deep, but it carried a great deal of anger in it. "I don't want to hear your orders," Shea retorted. She tried to show her courage even though fear made her breath short. "I don't like my rose with thorns." "But the truth is, roses have sharp thorns." "Yes." Marco's reply was softly. He walked forward. This made Shea even more nervous and scared. "And I'm going to cut off all the thorns that litter my rose stems." Marco hissed with a sharp look in his eyes. His firm jawline was even more pronounced as the man pursed his lips tightly. Shea was stunned by Marco's words. The man's whisper gave her goosebumps. She immediately backed up, trying to get away from him, trying to distance herself. "I was kidnapped! Why won't you listen to me?" Shea snapped under her breath. Marco grinned. He looked to the side. Then he looked back at Shea again. "I don't care about that. I already paid you and that means you're already mine." "How much money did you give them? I'll pay you." "I don't usually sell roses. But if you want to pay me back, how about tenfold?" Shea's brow furrowed in curiosity, "How much?" "One million euros," Marco replied. He then smiled broadly. Shea's eyes widened in shock. "Of course I don't want my rose to look bad because I spent a lot of money on it." Marco walked back to Shea. The toes of their shoes touched. Shea raised her eyes. Marco whispered as he stroked Shea's cheek, "So you have to be the rose that looks beautiful and sexy to me." But Shea snapped out of her reverie. She brushed Marco's hand away from her face. The man's emotions flared up again. Shea winced in pain as Marco grabbed her jaw and jerked her head up. "Mind your manners, b***h," Marco hissed with a glare that pierced Shea's eyes. Marco's jaw hardened as if to show the emotions that were eating away at his heart. Shea suddenly spat in Marco's face, returning the man's glare. "I don't care!" Marco's emotions were running high. The women who had once belonged to him had never treated him so badly. Marco's laughter sounded so low. But it was a threat. He wiped his face and grabbed Shea's hand. Marco pulled her forcefully towards him. Shea didn't stop trying to pull her hand out of Marco's grip. The grip of the man felt as if he wanted to break her wrist. They reached the room. There was only Alejandro, the prisoner, and two other men. Shea's body fell forward to the floor. Someone's blood was already on the floor. Shea still had no idea what kind of place this was. She had only a sense that the room was a bit dark and stuffy. Finally, Shea was stunned by the sight of blood on the palms of her hands. Marco came over. He crouched down beside Shea. He noticed Shea's face, which looked so tense. Then Marco grabbed the girl's hair until her head popped up. Shea winced again in pain. "Take a good look at the scene in front of you. He is one of the people who played with me. You will meet the same fate as him if you disobey my orders." In an instant, tears began to roll down Shea's cheeks. Fear crushed the courage in her heart as she imagined herself standing in front of him. Her body trembled at the thought of her body being covered in blood until it blinded her eyes. Suddenly her vision fogged up. It was dark. Shea couldn't feel her body anymore. It fell into Marco's arms. *** An hour passed. It was eight o'clock. Shea was lying on the bed. She immediately gasped as she woke up from the nightmare of Marco's threat. She immediately sat up, her face drenched in cold sweat. "It's good you're awake." Shea turned to the source of the voice. She saw the man overshadowing her nightmare. "Don't make me wait anymore. You need to get cleaned up and put on that dress." Marco said as he pointed to the front of Shea. There was a black dress. Shea's eyes followed Marco's shadow as he got up from the sofa and walked out of the room. Her eyes returned to the dress in front of her. She desperately wanted to run away from Marco. But the man's threats left her without any courage.
