My Neighbor and I

~Ivy~ ~0500~ Alarm goes off. I grunted and turned to the other side of the bed. I do not want to get up to go anywhere. I remember that I began my new job today at McIntyre Enterprises as a secretary. I start at 7 am and get off at 4 pm. What a fun schedule. Hopefully it will be 4 pm on the dot. Because I would want to go right back to bed. I quickly got up, shut off my blaring alarm and started undressing to hop into the shower and get ready for my first day. I have read in the online reviews that the boss does not like tardiness and is very strict and hard-headed. Sounds like he is full of himself and full of it, if you ask me. Little did I know he was my next-door neighbor and things would begin to happen that I would never have imagined. ~0600~ Ready to leave and I am out the door. I locked my door and began heading downstairs to go to my car, when some guy bumped into me. He just kept going and did not even bother apologizing to me. I quickly turned around and shouted, "Um.. excuse me, sir? You just bumped into me. You need to apologize at least!" Nothing from the guy. I decided to take matters into my own hands and pat him on the back. Wrong choice because as soon as he turned around, I felt my knees go weak. Standing before me was a Greek God. He was built like Adonis. I quickly regretted my decision. "Oh, um... I will get going. Sorry for the intrusion," I said, beginning to walk away, but the guy pulled me back and into his door. I smell his cologne and try not to breathe because of how good he smells. "You stopped me because you wanted me to apologize for bumping into you, right? Where did all the fire go? Tell me, love," he said. He gets close to me and I am not thinking straight. I finally remembered that I needed to get to work and push as hard as I could against his chest and break free. I quickly ran down the stairs and got in my car and drove off. But, that will not be the only time I will see him. Not only would I find out he was my neighbor, I would find out that he was my new boss. .... ~0635~ Phew! Made it to the office luckily. I still have 25 minutes to spare before the workday begins. I headed to find the ladies' room and on my way, I saw two females giggling with a guy. 'It's too early in the morning for this,' I muttered to myself. "You are right, love. We meet again, huh? What are you doing here? Are you a stalker?" I heard that guy from before say behind me. I gasped and turned around. "I think it would be you that is stalking me, don't you think? You came here after me, sir," I said back. "So you really don't know who I am yet? Hm.. I will let you figure this out, love. I will see you soon," he said and walked off. The two females who had been giggling with the other guy around the ladies' room began to glare at me and I was oblivious as to why. "Hey! Are you new here? Did you need some help?" one of them called out. I shook my head no. The guy that they had been talking with turned around to look at me. I see myself looking at a muscular, handsome, man. 'What is it with all the guys here looking like Adonis? I think I may be in trouble,' I thought to myself. The three of them began to walk over to me and I took a deep breath. "Is this your first day here? We can show you the ropes here, since we have been here for a while," one of the females said, with a smile that looked as fake as her chest. "Oh. Um.. sure, I would appreciate that. I was just heading to the ladies' room first. So, please excuse me," I said, walking around them. I finally made it into the ladies' room and practiced some deep meditation and relaxation. I heard the door lock from the outside and I didn't think anything of it. But, I should have. I should have realized that those females were beginning to be jealous of me and play these dirty, yet childish tricks on me. I went to go and leave, but the door would not open from the inside. "What kind of place locks from the outside and not the other way around?! What did I even do to deserve this?!" I muttered to myself. I overhear the females snickering outside the door. One of them says, "That will show her trying to start seducing our boss from day one. We have been here for a long time and he will not even look or speak to us, yet here she comes and he is already all over her." Who was talking to the boss? Was that other guy from before the boss? And he is my neighbor too?! Oh God, no! Why did it have to be me? I might have to look for a new place to live, because something tells me he will not make it easy for me to be his neighbor. I took a deep breath. Unfortunately, I did not bring my cell phone with me, so I only had one option. I had to bang on the door from the inside and that was what I started to do. I began banging on the bathroom door and I heard HIM again. "Who is banging on the bathroom door like that?! Do you have an issue?! Come out immediately!" he shouted. 'Damn, why did his shouting sound sexy?' I thought to myself. I shook my head to wipe away that thought. "Um... it's me. The lady from earlier. Two females locked me in this bathroom and I did not have my phone with me. It is in my bag, so I only had to start banging on the door to see if anyone was out there," I nervously said. He started laughing loudly and I stomped my foot. "I don't think that it's funny for a new staff member to have to deal with this on their first day at this office. I guess what they say online is true then," I said. "What who says is true online? Enlighten me, love," he says. I gasped. 'Damn it! I shouldn't have said anything! Me and my big mouth!' I muttered to myself. "What is your name, love?" he asked. "Um.. it's Ivy. Sir, I am sorry. I shouldn't have said anything about the online reviews to you; it was a mistake," I said. "Too late. I'm coming in to talk to you," he said. I gasped. "This is the ladies' room. You cannot come in here! That's inappropriate! Even if you are the boss!" I shouted. He chuckled. "So, you finally realized who I was? Those two females tell you that? Did they lock you in here out of jealousy or envy of you?" he asked. I sighed. "Yes, they told me who you were and I guess they were jealous because you had been talking to me," I said. ~What happens next? Will those two females who locked her in the bathroom get in trouble?~
